This Hot Shoe Cover for D Lux 7 (Typ 109) Digital Camera from Leica can be used as a replacement or spare for the hot shoe cover that came with your Leica D Lux 7 (Typ 109). It slips into the hot shoe mount and protects its electronic contacts from the elements and damage due to impact. To use an external flash unit or other optional accessory, simply remove the hot shoe cover to expose the digital connection terminals. When no longer using a hot shoe accessory, reinsert the cover to protect the hot shoe.

[2.9 x 2 x 0.5"] For its size, this flash is amazingly powerful - as much as I need, even at 15-18 feet. And the color balance is excellent. Used close up (5 feet or less), I adjust exposure to -.5 or -1 or the photos wash out but that's to be expected. I try to avoid direct flash at all costs, but when I don't or can't, what's most impressive is how it yields images that do not have those dreaded harsh shadows. It is a very good unit - highly recommended. 5

[Plastic] I rate this tiny thing very highly. It and the D-Lux 7 are a great combination for casual travel photography. (I just returned from a long trip, and decided that I'm too old to keep around my clunky dslr with 2 or 3 lenses.) And B&H's quick, reliable service is as impressive as ever. (I've used them since they started in the '70's.) 5

[Black] I am operating a d lux 7 and this flash with one hand It is that easy. let me explain .I am residing in a rest home.A stroke left me with my left side pretty much usless being wheel chair bound and right arm only ,( I was left handed),Ineed good eqipment,that I can operate with one hand . These pictures were taken today in very poor lighting not only did the flash do a greatjob,I got it on and off the d lux 7 with ease.I was avoiding using this flash because i was intimedated being handicapped.No problem the flash is awesome. 9i 5
