A: Sorry, can't find a ruler but it's about 2-3 inches long. Maybe 1 1/2 wide for the round part. Really it's about the size of a standard XLR connector with the square plate at the end.

A: Each SM57 requires an XLR cable to connect it to your chosen output (typically either the input of a mixer or powered speaker). The end that connects to each SM57 should be XLR Female, and your mixer or speaker should have either an XLR inuput (where you can plug in an XLR Male cable termination) or 1/4" input for a 1/4" Male cable termination. [UL 94 HB] Fit this Neutrik NA3FDM XLR Female to Male Feedthrough Adapter for Panel Mount into a RapcoHorizon SP-1DFN XLR Single Gang Wall Plate with 1 Neutrik NC3FD-L-1 Connector after knocking out the rivets, then re-riveting it to the plate. Then I fit it into a movable pulpit where the original jack had been abused and the soldered connections severed. In a church environment, who can fix that, and who needs downtime? Especially with very young and active kids! 5

[3 A] We prefer this model number Neutrik Female panel mount xlr for the absence of the locking latches. The connectors are very high quality and snug fitting. Never have a problem with accidentally disconnecting these guys and takes have the time of fussing with the latched versions when it's time to loadout. 5
