The ESI Planet 22x 2-Channel Dante Audio Interfaceis a 2-channel Dante audio interface offering operability as a networked Dante audio device or host-connected audio interface for musicians, producers, and engineers in homes, studios, and live stage applications. The two XLR-1/4" combo inputs, which can accept mic, line, or Hi-Z sources, feed low-noise, high-gain preamplifiers with globally selectable phantom power. The 24-bit / 96 kHz converters ensure pristine analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion.

Separate level controls are provided for the dual XLR line outputs and the 1/4" headphone jack, making it easy to route signal to multiple analog components such as speakers and headphones. The RJ45 port allows connectivity with a Dante network or a host computer. The PLANet 22x is compatible with Mac and Windows systems, and may be powered by the included 12 VDC power supply, or via a compliant PoE source. Bundled software and licenses from Bitwig, Stanton, Audified, and Audinate open creative opportunities for musicians, DJs, and podcast producers.

Q: 1. Please advise if you can comfortably say that the ESI Maya 44 is a direct replacement to M-Audio Delta 1010LT PC Sound Card. If not, can you suggest any other manufacturer that may have the same benefits as the M-Audio's; or advise the difference(s) between the ESI & M-Audio products mentioned above. Thank you?

A: This card is not a direct replacement for the Delta card in several ways; not the least of which is that the output of the MAYA44 is unbalanced high impedance low level line audio, versus the balanced low impedance high level output of the Delta 1010. I had about a dozen of the Delta series and have tried several replacements for it since being discontinued by M-Audio. This card works in place of a Delta 44, but with the understanding that the outputs are not fully compatible in level and impedance. As for a direct replacement of the Delta series cards, there is nothing I have found in a buss card (several USB options out there) anywhere in this price point. Obviously, Audio Science and Digigram makes exact replacement boards, but at 10x the price.

Q: 2. Does the I/O DB25 XLR cables come with the unit?

A: No I/O cables are include with this unit. You would need to purchase the proper I/O cables based on what gear you are connecting to this.

Q: 3. Can the input version and output version of these units be used together as a standalone 2 channel dante system?

A: Yes you can, however you would need a switch as well.

Q: 4. Hello ESI folks, Do I correctly understand that I can use this device to take the digital audio output from my synthesizer (a Roland X7) coming out via SPDIF coaxial cable, and send it into my computer (a 2015 iMac, which has no digital audio input) via USB? And that in this case the U24 XL will do no digital/analog conversion, but just change the digital format, so there will be no loss of fidelity? Thanks much, Robert

A: This audio interface would allow you to convert the SPDIF digital from your work station out to USB, and keep the bit rate the same, so quality would not be degraded. .

Q: 5. Is the line output compatible with the line input on a stereo receiver?

A: Yes. It is.

Q: 6. Does this digitize analog? How if not digital output? Analog I/O 2 x RCA Line Input 2 x 1/4" (6.3 mm) TRS Balanced Line Output Digital I/O None

A: If I understand your question correctly, the answer is res it does indeed digitize analog. It takes your analog in and converts it to digital and utilizes the USB to interface the 24bit / 96kHz digital signal with your Mac or PC Computer. Other than the USB for digital, It does not sport another digital input/output such as optical, hence why Digital I/O is None.

Q: 7. Does this AVIO support phantom power for a condenser mic?

A: This device does not support phantom power.

Q: 8. So, I could use the two stereo inputs to record 4-channels from an analog source?

A: Yes, the ESI Maya44 eX 4-In/4-Out PCIe Audio Interface can be used to record four channels of audio from an analog source.

Q: 9. Does this work with an iPad?

A: The ESI MAYA22 USB Flexible High-Performance, 24-Bit USB Audio Interface is intended for use only with Mac or Windows computers.

Q: 10. What is the latency? How do we get clock if using both madi in/ out. How do I get a demo of this product?

A: This is a high quality audio interface with extremely low latency. The MADI input would be the master clock in your set up, and you would have almost zero percent latency. RME does not provide an exact number for latency.

[96 kHz / 32-Bit] The card is everything that I expected, and exactly what I needed. PCIe studio quality audio cards are hard to find now a days because of the emphasis on USB devices. To overcome USB latency issues I prefer the PCIe internal card for my home studio recording use. This card performs beautifully and at an affordable price point. It is easily $500-$600 below the price of the next option available. I highly recommend it and B&H came through for me in a professional and expedient manner.

[1x RJ45 Dante] Then this is what you need to connect to your computer. Why spend more money on an interface with inferior preamps and ADCs that you will just bypass?

[96 kHz / 32-Bit] Decent card for hooking up to a mixer. 2 stereo in/2 stereo out. Simple. Drivers work on Windows 11. No problems setting up.

[2] I only use the digital in and out. I would not compromise with the analog section. The speed is amazing. No latency. Perfect to combine it with my digital hardware.

[96 kHz / 32-Bit] Its a great card at a very good price. It installed very easily. The tech support is overseas, I think; Germany to be precise. But they seem to take the trouble to answer your specific question, unlike many others I have dealt with, who skim through for keywords. It took a few days, but they answered my question. I am happy.

[2.21 lb] I recently purchased the ESI Maya44 eX 4-In/4-Out PCIe Audio Interface from B&H Photo Video, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. As a music producer and sound engineer, the quality and performance of my audio interface are of utmost importance, and the Maya44 eX has exceeded my expectations on all fronts.

[Ethernet Port ] I'm using this unit to receive an SPIDF feed from my studio converters and it takes that SPDIF signal and sends it to my laptop via USB. I use the laptop to stream as I mix for clients so they can listen anywhere they have internet. This unit worked right out of the box, hooked up the cables and it was good to go. Can't comment on sound quality as I'm not using it's conversion.

[96 kHz / 32-Bit] I love this thing. No setup required - just works - right out of the box. I bought it because the new Mac Studio does not have optical audio out. This adds that capability and a bit more as well. I'm surprised Sweetwater doesn't sell this. Highly recommended.

[2] So far this card is amazing. The quietness of it, the solid feel of it, especially when plugging in the 1/4, very happy.

[Ethernet Port ] it's a good board with good signal to noise ratio... signal to noise is not as good as the professional CardD I had in the past but Maya44 is better than audio card on mo-bo...
