A: You could use some gaff tape to secure the tips to the metal either running the length from end to end on each side (this also stops any reflected light from bouncing off the a clamp) or around the base of the tip onto the metal.

A: The size clamp you will need will depend partly onto what item you will be clamping the sound absorption blanket. If you are clamping it to a pipe, you would have to take into consideration the diameter of the pipe, as the jaws have to be wide enough to go around the pipe, as well as to hold the blanket.
