While Nanlite Deep Umbrella 135 Silver 53"was designed for Nanlite Deep Umbrella 135 Silver 53"P-series monolights, but its 8mm shaft makes it compatible with most LED, strobe, and constant light fixtures. The light source can be slid anywhere along shaft to focus and de-focus the output to vary coverage. The modifier has a rigid 16-rod design and a 22" depth that delivers an even, wrap-around look, while its highly reflective silver interior offers a snappy, contrasty quality of light that can be thrown a considerable distance.

The NanLite Silver Deep Umbrella 135's silver interior maximizes output, creating contrasty light with crisp detail, while it's 16-rod design maintains shape rigidly for evenly spread light.

A: One deep silver umbrellas by itself may not be the best choice for a large group due to its more focused light. Many including Photographer Bob Davis will use it effectively, feathering the light and combining it with an additional fill (Deep White). Adding the optional diffusion front will also spread the light more evenly but will also reduce the output of your light.

A: Anthony,The Wattage rating is for continuous lighting. Strobes are rated in Watt-Seconds. Your Strobe will work fine with the Umbrella.

[2.545 lb] Yeah it's a little pricey but the build quality of the umbrella is excellent. I do wish the included case was better quality for the price. With the diffusion, you get similar softness of light like a softbox, but without the hassle when on location. I despise working with softboxes on location. So much faster to setup an umbrella than a softbox. Takes up way less space than a softbox. And even though it's pricey for an umbrella, it's likely still cheaper than most softboxes of comparable size. If you need a grid to have more control of spill, this may not work. But otherwise it's a great choice. 5

[35.6 x 3 x 2.7"] I purchased this umbrellas a special order. It is a really nice, deep 53 inch silver umbrella. Why a deep umbrella vs a shallow one? Light control. The deep umbrella gives you a bit more of a narrow projection of light. I also like that this umbrella folds down beautifully into my light case with my 4 lights and poles. 5

[16] I absolutely love this modifier. The build quality is superb. Definitely a high end product. With the option of the diffuser, it provides an array of effects from a focused hard or soft light. It’s not something I would use on a windly day, yet a great option compared to other high end modifiers. It’s well worth the $$$ if you want to add a quality item to your kit. 5

[35.6 x 3 x 2.7"] I have been looking for a deep umbrella and glad that I finally got elinchrom. The soft wrap around light it creates for portraits is awesome. Give the subject some interesting shadows and character to the light. I use it for single light portraits and it’s amazing. Highly recommend. Not sure if it’s fits other strobes as the shaft is 7mm. But if it fits I would recommend getting this with the diffuser. Very well built and sturdy. 5
