A: You can use any gold mount battery. The plate provides 11 to 34 VDC input and output, and up to 33.6 VDC when using Helix battery packs.

Q: 7. Does this need a cable from the mount to the camera? Or it powers the camera directly without a cable?

A: This product mounts directly to Arri Alexa LF or Alexa to provide a direct connection to the camera. There is no cable.

A: The max wireless range of the ARRI WCU-4 FIZ System with ERM-2400 Set is around 3280 feet.

Q: 9. does this fit on IDX plate?

A: This mounts on most Universal plates.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with the Original Alexa Mini?

A: Unfortunately it will not. Currently this is compatible only with the ALEXA Mini LF. The MVF-2 will work with future generations of ARRI cameras.

[0.02 lb] Must have if you are a Nucleus-M and RED Komodo owner. It is compatible with the RED Outrigger handle and grants the Outrigger smart pins a pass-through connection. This is good for CamOps to trigger record via handle or for 1st ACs to trigger record via the Nucleus-M remote focus wheel depending what your shooting setup is (handheld, dolly, gimbal, steadicam, etc). There is also no latency on the trigger record in my experience unlike older RED camera models; my Nucleus-M trigger recording is instantaneous. 5
