Q: 2. This battery will work for 'MINOLTA freedom zoom 140 EX'?

A: No, the Energizer CR2 3V Lithium Battery (2-Pack) would not work for your camera usage needs. Your camera uses the larger CR123A lithium battery. I would recommend either the Panasonic CR123A Lithium Batteries (3V, 2-Pack), B&H # PACR123APA2B, the Barska CR123A 3V Lithium Batteries (2-Pack), B&H # BACR123B2P, or the SureFire SF123A Batteries - 2, B&H # SUSF2CB, for your usage needs.

Q: 10. can you use a lithium batery in place of a carbon battery?

A: Isn't carbon battery the old standard one? In any case, the lithium replaces any AA battery you can find on the market. I use it to power underwater flash unit. It is expensive but last for a long time. I heard that many photographers use it to power their flash units.

[1.5 V] The best for long term power storage in lights or instruments where failure is not an option. Will work when others have drained and these are very leak resistant.

[12x AAA] Plan to use these in our NOAH weather radio and my husband's FM radio headset. Wish they did not cost this much. Rechargeable batteries' charge begin to dissipate the moment they set in the drawer. When needed, not at full charge. Opted to try these instead. Have not used them yet.

[0.235 lb] These batteries last longer and recharge faster than any other battery for speedlights. Yes they cost more but they are definitely worth it. I’ve tried all kinds of AA batteries and nothing comes close. Try them, I’m sure you’ll agree. I highly recommend them.
