Rig up your 5" Atomos Shinobi with this dedicated 8Sinn Formfitting Cage for Atomos Shinobifrom 8Sinn. With its full-frame design, this cage serves as a protective exoskeleton that increases your accessory mounting options without impinging on any of the monitor's functionality. Your monitor fits securely into the cage and is held in place by the two included 1/4"-20 mounting screws.

The top and bottom of the cage offer multiple 1/4"-20 threads, and the bottom has ARRI anti-twist divots to help hold accessories in place. Moreover, one of the bottom 1/4"-20 threads comes with a reduction screw that you can remove to convert to 3/8"-20. Also featured are two integrated NATO rails for easy quick release mounting of compatible accessories. Lastly, the cage comes with an HDMI clamp that helps prevent accidental disconnection while protecting your monitor's HDMI port.

[Black] I was kind of hesitant at first about buying this but I really do enjoy this cage this is really nice cage it's not real heavy and it has a great finish on it and it does protect my shinobi really well and I'm glad I got it I love it that you can also mount it in several different places on your camera cage as well great product!! 5

[Aluminum] This is much better despite being just fabric compared to leather like material of the atomos ninja. The Atomos Sunhood is so long that you will struggle to operate the external recorder. Also the atomos needs to have a clamp on plastic frame denting your external recorder every time you put it on. The 8Sinn doesn't obstruct your finger to adjust settings, is light weight, it has straps that velcro into place without damaging your external recorder unlike the $134 Atomos ninja recorder. This 8Sinn unhood needs a Smallrig cage to be attached to the atomos recorder in order to have a place to strap. 5

[0.45 lb] I really like this cage I was very hesitant first but I have tried it and it's really really nice and it protects my Shinobi really well and it's not really too awful heavy but it is really nice finish on it and then you can mount it on your camera cage in several different locations with it it's really handy!! 5

[Black] The cage is sturdy and fits the ATOMOS Shinobi very well. The sunhood is easy to remove and pack away for travel. While using it, the hood does a solid job of keeping the sun from hitting the screen as it's designed to. FYI: The HDMI clampholder can be a pain in the butt if you use a standard HDMI cable. I wound up getting a coiled one from ATOMOS which is slimmer so it fits the clamp well. 5

[Black] I truly love this cage. The metal enclosure makes my Shinobi secure and adds a little extra weight to it, which I truly love since the monitor itself is very light. However, I am upset that the 1/4 screws were missing from the package since I bought it brand-new. Either way, go get it now! 5

[Aluminum] Great design. It folds completely flat. I don't know if it fits other cages, but it fits on the 8Sinn cage perfectly. The velcro attachment seems like it is folding backwards on itself when I mount it - like it should have been sewn-on the opposite direction... But whatever, it fits snugly and works well. The velcro straps are too long on the one I received, so I simply cut them off to the correct length. The depth is just right, so it shades well, but I can still stick my fingers in and access all the touchscreen menus. At this price, not much to think about, just buy it. 5

[Aluminum] This cage and sunhood fit my Shinobi perfectly. The case is well-built and the Shinobi slides right in. I worried the sunhood's design would be flimsy but after using it for a bunch of shoots, I think it works well in doing exactly what it's supposed to -- blocking the sun and allowing you to see. Can't say much other than that. 5
