    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this cradle fit securely & tightly in a grip head? Or is it a hair smaller than the grip head hole? I'm asking because I currently own one that spins in the grip head hole.

A: is depends on what type grip head you have, a good one would beThe Impact griphead from B&H that we sell it has multi size holes Link to Impact Grip head https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/838888-REG/Impact_kcp200b_Grip_Head_for_Lights.html

Q: 2. i does this work with Ipad 12.9 3rd gen and above?

A: No, the RAM MOUNTS RAM-A-CAN II Universal Cup Holder Mount with Tab-Tite Universal Clamping Cradle for Large Tablets with Heavy Duty Cases will not be able to support a 12.9" iPad as the largest tablet size it can support is 10".

Q: 3. What is the maximum diameter pole that this will hold?

A: The Auray BPH is a universal boom pole holder that is designed to hold any boom pole for audio applications along with cables and clips attached. The manufacturer has not provided information regarding the maximum pole diameter that it can accommodate. Please contact us by phone or through live chat if you need further information or assistance to put together a setup for a specific application and we can help.

Q: 4. Can I use this to mount to a Super Clamp?

A: No, those hooks are not made to attach to super clamps. Those are to be screwed into the wall. If you need regular hooks than this will work with super clamps, https://bhpho.to/3023qLs .

Q: 5. Is the grip head in this kit smaller than a standard grip head that comes with a typical C Stand? I already have a C-Stand with grip head but am hoping this is smaller, so I can use it for travel with a travel light stand and sand bag counterweight.

A: Hi Sheldon, I believe they are a standard size. Hope this helps :)

Q: 6. Whats the maximum weight this can handle? Was hoping to use with a monopod and FS5.

A: I have found that my boom pole will sometimes swing around in the socket from the weight of the boom mic. I certainly would not trust this setup to an expensive camera. you might want to try something with mafer clamps for more security. don't forget sandbags!

Q: 7. can I use the grip head with a normal mic stand?

A: No, it's designed to be used with a light stand or C-Stand, but not a mic stand.

Q: 8. Can I use 3M tape to attach it?

A: Absolutely not, screw these into a wall stud.

Q: 9. Will they hold seamless paper

A: Yes absolutely. That's exactly what I use these brackets for. You will need the Impact - Background Paper Varidrive Set. The spindles expand inside the cardboard tube of your seemless paper and allow you to easily roll in and out the paper very quickly. Mounts on a wall with just a couple of screws. You'll need to make sure you hit the wall studs though or have really good drywall anchors.

Q: 10. What size of cross bar would fit with this system in terms of diameter of the bar itself?

A: These hooks would not accept a crossbar. They are made to accept the Impact Varidrive with Black Chain, B&H # IMVPDDSBK in order to hold a roll of seamless paper or other backgrounds rolled onto a core. https://bhpho.to/2PZsRFj

[1.21 lb / 540 g] iPad Mini 2 retina w otter box case. Holds its great. I don't use the black rubber back panel holder pad thingy. If my iPad was naked without a case it would probably work well with the back panel holder thing. But I am very happy w this product for my iPad with otter box. I use it on my back patio glass table to help from being hunger over. Use it on my boat. And use it in an jet airplane. Works great. Keep your suction cup clean and on a porous surface.

[1.21 lb / 540 g] Holds the phone solidly. Is easy to adjust to the size of your phone. With the RAM Mount system, it's easy to adjust the placement to where you want your phone to be facing an angled. Not too difficult to place and then remove your phone as needed once you get used to how the holding mechanism works. Recommended.

[1.21 lb / 540 g] I previously had the Ram X Grip Phone holder on the motorcycle. This did work OK except it was difficult to mount my phone without making contact with the buttons on the side of the phone.
The Ram Quick-Grip XL solved that problem with the versatile location adjustments of the side pieces. I also appreciate the spring loaded grip at the top of the mount that makes installing or retrieving the phone from the mount quick and easy.

[1.2 lb] I needed a phone mount to use for my motorcycle and needed something tough. Holds the phone very securely and was just what I was looking for. Used with short double socket arm and was able to position phone perfectly. A little adjustment was needed for the 4 posts but was easy. Highly recommend.

[1.21 lb / 540 g] The grip is very tight. The arms are aluminium. Not sure it will last. The package came with a glue and a rubber mesh.

[1.21 lb / 540 g] I have a similar RAM mount for my previous phone and Otterbox case but it was too small. This larger one works great for my Galaxy S21 with the Otterbox Defender case. The phone fits securely in the holder like it should. Great product - far superior to anything else out on the market.

[1.2 lb] This thing is solid, not going anywhere, even on rougher terrain or bumpy roads. I like it a lot.

[1.2 lb] Connected this bracket to my motorbike for a summer RoadTrip. So far it works great. Phone seems very stable and quicker to insert than the X clamp model with rubber band I was using before. Great value product. Definitely recommend!

[1.2 lb] Installed this on my Yamaha YZ250F along with a USB charger so I can have my phone running some offline trail maps. Went riding over the weekend and the holder was solid on every trail. This was just my first ride with it and the trails were relatively mild but I did hit some jumps, hill climbs, ruts, etc. and the phone was solid in the cradle. This leads me to believe it is going to hold well under rougher trail conditions. It's not the most attractive looking mount when the phone isn't in it but I didn't buy it for looks. I like that the side pins can be adjusted both in/out but also placement on the side so that it doesn't interfere with the phone buttons (volume, etc.). I did use a different Ram mount (X grip) on my SxS to hold a tablet and it worked really well which is why I went with Ram again for my bike. Overall, I think this is going to work great. If you want to see it in action, look my up on YT for a full review.

[1.21 lb / 540 g] I love having a phone holder that's compatible with all my other RAM gear. It has a lot of mobility when you're adjusting the position, but it's rock solid when you tighten it and need it to stay in place. I love RAM mounts.
