The FotodioX WonderPana FreeArc Core Unit Zeiss 15mm Lens Filtersis compatible with the FotodioX WonderPana 145, FreeArc, and Absolute filter holder systems. It helps to reduce reflections as well as glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. The light from the sun naturally becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges, and filters, this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.

A circular polarizer only differs from a linear polarizer in that it contains a quarter wave plane in addition to the linear polarizing filter. The addition of this quarter wave plane is to circularly polarize the linearly polarized light for the use of auto focus and exposure functions. Due to how the light is broken down and filtered with a linear polarizer, auto focus and exposure accuracy become skewed during use. When the light becomes circularly polarized, it permits the use of these functions.

The FotodioX 145mm Circular Polarizer Filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity and features lightweight, aluminum-alloy filter rings. A: You cannot use the Foundation Kit (100mm filters). It's too small for such a wide angle lens. The LEE SW150 II (150mm filters) system works perfectly. I use the SW150 II filter holder and 95mm screw-in style adapter ring (sold separately) with this lens. It works perfectly. There is no vignetting at all. I use 150mm NiSi filters with this system. They fit fine, and the filters are of higher quality. The downside of such a large filter system is the high price and the amount of space they take up. The image quality you can get out of them with this lens though is unparalleled. Hope that helps.

This small amount of off-centering does not influence the horizontal parallax view with any attached super wide external viewfinder (e.g. our 15mm viewfinder). The amount of off-centering is so small relative to the horizontal field of view that it plays no role at all in practical use. So the viewfinder framelines in the 15mm only show the parallax markings for the small vertical shift between infinity and 0.7m closest focusing distance. So this viewfinder can be used on all M-mount cameras together with any 15mm lens without any problems."
