Patterns, or gobos, are widely used by designers in theatre, film, photography and television to create atmosphere, project scenery, and generally enhance the visual impact of their lighting.

Conceived by some of the world's leading lighting designers, the Rosco range presently includes hundreds of standard steel gobo designs.

To insure design integrity the patterns are etched using a precise double-sided process on stainless steel. The result is durable, high quality patterns which will withstand the extreme heat at the gate of ellipsoidal spotlights.

Trimming of patterns, where necessary, can be easily accomplished with a pair of scissors.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you do hand held photography, with this blind, or must you use a tripod?

A: Yes, a photographer can use the Lens Coat Photo Blind in a handheld position but we highly recommend using with a tripod for a better end-user experience.

Q: 2. Would this fit over a Sigma contemporary 150-600 lens? What about smaller telephotos such as under 105mm?

A: Yes, the LensCoat LensHide Water-Repellent Photo Blind is a good option for the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens. It is a but cumbersome to use with shorter lenses like 105mm, but it is possible.

Q: 3. Can this be used to charge multiple devices - the NP-F battery plus a couple cell phones plugged into USB-A ports?

A: Yes the USB ports can be used to charge a cell phone or two.

Q: 4. Are there issues with the plastic window being hard to see out of?

A: The mesh window works well for the photographer to see the subject but still be hidden.

Q: 5. Does anyone know if this will work with smaller lenses? I shoot the G9 with 100-300ii lens. It looks like the expect you to shoot a FF 600!

A: It can be adjusted to work with almost any lens and camera combination.

Q: 6. Suppose I recharge the NPF battery to wall power while using it to power my GH5. Where will my GH5 draw power, from the attached NPF battery or straight from wall power?

A: Passthrough power from the wall is not available sadly, and the battery will not power the GH5 if you have it connect to the main wall power, so I would recommend using either a D-Tap power source or using a dummy battery attached to a battery bank of sorts.

Q: 7. Is this weather or rain resistant?

A: Yes, the LensCoat LensHide Lightweight Photo Blind is water and weather resistant.

Q: 8. Is there anyone here using this to power their Ninja V?

A: This has a power sleeve connector. The Atomos battery eliminator provided with the Ninja uses a d-tap.

Q: 9. How does it mount?

A: The unit has a 1/4-20" thread to attach to a rig, a tripod thread or hot shoe of a camera.

Q: 10. I am a 5'7" woman. Is this blind tall enough to stand comfortably in, or do I need to go with the tall version?

A: This product is 77" which is about 6'4" so it will definitely be large enough for you.

[Venetian Blind] I purchased this for the kids ministry at our church. The 1st - 4th graders come together for their story time in our chapel. The back wall is huge and we have had a hard time finding ways to decorate it. I found these and they are perfect! The kids love the images that are projected on the back wall. It's been a great (and easy) way to fill up all that dead space on the wall. Thanks!

[Venetian Blind] Along with all other Steel Gobos it makes a huge addition to background lightning and/or general projection, highlights.

[Venetian Blind] When I purchased this Gobo I wasn't 100% sure from the picture that I was going to be using this one as much as I have. Its pattern is very symmetrical which allows it to be used in a variety of situations. I usually cut the sides of the pattern and just use the center as a background in interviews and to liven up the background of any scene that just needs some soft hits.
