A: You cannot use the Foundation Kit (100mm filters). It's too small for such a wide angle lens. The LEE SW150 II (150mm filters) system works perfectly. I use the SW150 II filter holder and 95mm screw-in style adapter ring (sold separately) with this lens. It works perfectly. There is no vignetting at all. I use 150mm NiSi filters with this system. They fit fine, and the filters are of higher quality. The downside of such a large filter system is the high price and the amount of space they take up. The image quality you can get out of them with this lens though is unparalleled. Hope that helps.

The UV filter is a good general purpose filter that decreases the amount of UV light striking the sensor and also acts to protect the front of the lens element. The filter can be left on the front of the lens at all times and does not affect the light transmission. The polarizing filter is designed to reduce the reflections from non-metallic surfaces and from light coming from the sky. Typically, these filters are not used indoors or for night photography.
