The dedicated SmallRig Camera Cage for Canon 5D Mark III & IVfrom SmallRig Camera Cage for Canon 5D Mark III & IVis a protective aluminum frame that enables you to mount accessories onto your Canon 5D Mark III or 5D Mark IV. Two cold shoes, a NATO rail, and multiple 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and ARRI-style accessory threads are built into the cage's top and sides.

Access to the camera's controls, compartments, and connectors is maintained when the cage is fitted to the camera. The versatile cage features a 1/4"-20 camera mounting screw and rubber pads on the bottom camera mount to protect and secure your camera. A screwdriver is included to tighten the camera onto the cage, and it stores on the bottom of the cage.

A: This camera can output 1080i 59.97i, 1080p at 59.97P, 29.97p, 23.98p, and 24.00p for NTSC and 50/25P for PAL. It outputs 4.2.2 color at 8-bit. It only outputs 1080p even when in 4K Mode, but it retains the 1.74x crop while in this mode. I use an Atomos Ninja Inferno with mine. There are some menu settings that you will have to hunt for to enable this, but it is worth it.

[Cage] I've always thought cages looked cool, but as a still guy I never thought I really needed one. I had to shoot a one man job shooting stills and video on a tour bus and knew I would need a very portable rig with a constant light and shotgun mic, but wouldn't interfere with mounting a flash on the hot shoe. In comes this smallrig cage. It was fantastic. Pretty lightweight, but very sturdy. Lots of places for adding attachments. I only used the top right and top left shoe mounts for the mic and small light, but the cage held them securely and right where they needed to be. Its well thought out construction allowed me to access all doors and cable slots. It really is an amazing accessory. I'm liable to just leave it on my 5dmk3 all the time because it makes it so much more versatile. So glad I finally had a reason to buy a cage. I'll definitely be adding one to any body for which smallrig makes a custom fit cage. 5

[0.805 lb] This is a great product from SmallRig. This is my second purchase of a SmallRig cage and I am pleased with its performance. The fit is snug with plenty of options to pair other objects to the cage, while still maintaining full access to all of the camera functions, buttons, battery and memory card compartments. The design is well thought out and sturdy. Just what you want from a camera cage. I’ve rigged my 5D Mark IV out with the ability to mount to a shoulder rig with external monitor and other attachments. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid cage! 5

[0.805 lb] I bought the wrong cage by accident and didn't realize it until about a week after I had it but that's a good thing as it means it works with other cameras. It's lightweight and has plenty of places to thread attachments onto it and overall I'm happy with it. Now I just need an A7SIII to put inside it. 5
