Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this priced as one roll or 3 rolls?

A: Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is one (1) roll of film.

Q: 2. How many pictures do you get with each roll?

A: Each roll has 24 exposure, However depending on the SLR that is being used, you might get a little more than 24 exposures.

Q: 3. Do you have any information on this films reciprocity characteristics when used for long exposures like in astrophotography?

A: Per CineStill: “ We do not currently have a published data sheet regarding reciprocity failure compensation. For very long exposures in very low light some other variables come in to play such as the accuracy of the light measurement. This means that some trial and error may be required. As with all color negative film, it’s usually best to err on the side of giving the film more exposure to create a denser negative with more information for color correcting when scanning or printing in the darkroom.”

Q: 4. Has anyone used this film with flash? I may be shooting this in a small club with the usual red blue green stage lighting. Is there anything I should know about this film's performance before I experiment with it? Thanks.

A: I think it works well

Q: 5. Is this DX coded?

A: Yes, the CineStill Film 400Dynamic Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is DX coded.

Q: 6. how many exposures on this roll? Is it the same as the cotton candy roll, and aiming for 24 exposures?

A: The dubble film Pacific 200 Color Negative Film (120 Roll) is medium format film. As such, it will depend on the medium format camera (or camera back) you are using on how many exposures you will get on a roll. It also depends on how the film is loaded. If you have a 6x4.5 camera, you will get approximately 15 or 16 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x6 camera, you will get approximately 12 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x7 camera, you will get approximately 10 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x8 camera, you will get approximately 9 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x9 camera, you will get approximately 8 frames on a roll. Finally, if you have a 6x10 camera, you will get approximately 7 frames on a roll.

Q: 7. I work at a photo lab and today I got two rolls of this kind of film. The emulsion is on the wrong side. Every roll of 35mm film I've ever seen has the darker, smoother side on the outside or in other words the same side as the print on the canister it sits in, these rolls I developed today had the emulsion facing the wrong way. Is this film always like this? I have personally shot a roll of the purple lomo and it is oriented the same way as all the other 35mm films I have seen. Is this a fluke or intentional? If it's intentional what would be the purpose for it to be that way? Thanks.

A: It's purposefully rolled that way. The film is redscale because you're shooting through the back of the film.

Q: 8. Safe for ECN-2 processing?

A: C-41 processing should be used for this film. ECN-2 processing will work, but the images will have very flat contrast and subdued color palettes.

Q: 9. Does this fil work with any traditional film camera

A: Yes. Works well with any traditional 35mm camera.

Q: 10. The film will be effected if I develop it after 8 months after?

A: The film may lose some of its latent image over a period of 8 months but generally should be ok. It is of course best practice to develop the film right away.

[0.06 lb] Needless to say, one of the most classic film rolls on the market. Great for beginners.

[35mm] I love, love this film. It was such a pleasant surprise after shooting the dubble film Stereo and being very disappointed with those images. The colors are tinged enough for a nice effect, but not overwhelming. Will purchase again!

[35mm] This might not be for everyone, but I had a blast experimenting with dubble film's Solar pre-exposed film. You won't have any idea how it looks until it's developed, and that's part of the fun. Very experimental and colorful, exactly what I was looking for. Every place that develops film will develop this, too.

[35mm] I live in a centrally located area in the California Delta between two major hubs: San Francisco and Sacramento. Still, I can't always find the specific types of film that I love shooting with, one of which is Kodak GOLD 200 Color Negative Film. Vivid color saturation and grain-free images are the hallmarks of this film choice. It is frustrating when I can't find the right films for a specific shoot, as a dedicated film photographer. With great joy, however, I find all my film needs at B&H Photo in well-stocked inventories. B&H is now my primary source for all my film purchases.
