Dubblefilm Solar 200 Color Negative 35mm Film 36 Exposuresis an experimental color negative film that has been pre-exposed in order to produce a distinctly warm, hazy, and bright aesthetic. This process also results in surprising colors and light leak effects, with overall results being heavily dependent on specific shooting conditions. The film has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200/24° and should be processed in C-41 chemistry.

This item is one 36-exposure roll of 35mm film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this film DX coded?

A: Yes, the dubblefilm Bubblegum 400 Color Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is DX coded.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the kodak color plus 100 ?

A: The Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is very much like the ColorPlus 100 film. It is one stop better in low light at 200 vs 100 iso.

Q: 3. Does this fil work with any traditional film camera

A: Yes. Works well with any traditional 35mm camera.

Q: 4. The film will be effected if I develop it after 8 months after?

A: The film may lose some of its latent image over a period of 8 months but generally should be ok. It is of course best practice to develop the film right away.

Q: 5. What's the difference between color plus and gold/ultramax?

A: The main difference between the two options is the Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures), B&H # KO20036CP, is a medium-speed film and has an ISO rating of ISO 200, while the Kodak GC/UltraMax 400 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures), B&H # KOGC36, is a high-speed film and has an ISO rating of ISO 400. If you are shooting in bright light (or if you will be pushing/pulling your film for overexposure/underexposure), you may wish to use the ColorPlus 200, while if you are shooting sports or shooting in slightly lower light, the UltraMax 400 would be a better option for your usage needs.

Q: 6. Is this film fairly good for portrait or for general people shots?

A: Yes, this film would be very good for general photography and people.

Q: 7. How many pictures do you get with each roll?

A: Each roll has 24 exposure, However depending on the SLR that is being used, you might get a little more than 24 exposures.

Q: 8. Do you have any information on this films reciprocity characteristics when used for long exposures like in astrophotography?

A: Per CineStill: “ We do not currently have a published data sheet regarding reciprocity failure compensation. For very long exposures in very low light some other variables come in to play such as the accuracy of the light measurement. This means that some trial and error may be required. As with all color negative film, it’s usually best to err on the side of giving the film more exposure to create a denser negative with more information for color correcting when scanning or printing in the darkroom.”

Q: 9. How many exposures do I get with half frame camera?

A: Regarding the Kodak ColorPlus 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) and how many exposures you get with a half-frame camera, it would be generally 72 frames.

Q: 10. Is this DX coded?

A: Yes, the CineStill Film 400Dynamic Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is DX coded.

[0.065 lb] This might not be for everyone, but I had a blast experimenting with dubble film's Solar pre-exposed film. You won't have any idea how it looks until it's developed, and that's part of the fun. Very experimental and colorful, exactly what I was looking for. Every place that develops film will develop this, too.
