A: The spacing between the two 1/4-20 threads on the CAMVATE 0B 2-Pin Female 1 to 3 Power Splitter Adapter Box with 1/4"-20 Screw Mount is 7mm. However you can slide the 2nd screw down up too 14mm away from the first screw.

[0.035 lb] I was able to adapt a 3/8-16 head to my old Slik 1/4-20 tripod. To compensate for the screw head, I simply used a large washer between the head and the tripod and everything is stable and solid. 5

[0.035 lb] This adapter is the longest one I have seen. It gives me peace of mind because the other adapters are shorter with very little thread, and I fear the threads in the other adapters will strip with heavier cameras. The CAMVATE adapter also has a slot for a large screwdriver or a quarter will work too. The adapter has a small collar that keeps it from going to deep into the tripod head. 5
