Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used to connect a mixer with speakers?

A: Yes, the transmitter for the Xvive Audio U3 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Microphone System accepts line level input signal so the system can be used to connect a mixer with speakers. Keep in mind that this system has an operating range of up to 90 feet line of sight.

Q: 2. Can the transmitter be plugged into a soundboard's XLR main output and can the receiver be plugged into the XLR input of the Canon XA11 Camcorder (B&H # CAXA11 MFR # 2218C002)? If so, should the XA11's input be set to Line, MIC, or MIC +48?

A: You can not plug the xlr transmitter directly into a mixer. However, you can plug an xlr attenuator like this B&H # PEIMA1030 into the mixer via an xlr cable, then the Xvive transmitter to that. This will change the line level out of the mixer to a mic level that the transmitter can handle. The receiver would plug into the camera, and the camera would be set to mic level.

Q: 3. Phantom +48 v power ? Will it work with a Mic that needs +48v phantom power?

A: The transmitter plugs into a dynamic microphone or into DI or XLR output gear, and the receiver plugs into a live sound mixer, portable PA system, or a recorder. This device is designed to be used only with dynamic microphones which do not use phantom power. This device cannot supply phantom power.

Q: 4. will 1 trans. work on 2 rec.?

A: No this is a one to one system.

Q: 5. Can this be used with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras? I am aware that one would need to attach an XLR to 3.5mm jack to the receiver. Is the output of the receiver mic level? The minute size would make it ideal for run & gun type of filming.

A: Yes, It can be used on with DSLR/Mirrorlesscamera but please realized that for the Receiver of U3 is the balanced XLR output and so there would be hiss sound/high white nosie if you just simply use a cable convert the XLR output to 3.5mm Jack. it would be address this issue if you apply IRIG PRE or similar prodct. As to the output,Yes, the receiver output is Mic level.

Q: 6. Does the receiver output line level? I have a press box that is line in to 6 mic level out that I'm trying to make wireless.

A: The Xvive Audio U3 2.4 GHz Digital Wireless Microphone System can be used with either a mic or line level signal.

Q: 7. will one transmitter work two receivers ?

A: Yes, you can send audio from one transmitter to two receivers.

Q: 8. It seems the receiver is rechargable. I'm plugging it into a board with global phantom power. Will this damage the receiver or affect the sound negatively?

A: That should not present a problem or degrade your sound.

Q: 9. Is the U3 approved for use in the US? On the Xvive website, it says it isnt But that seems strange because many competing wireless systems use the same 2.4 GHz range.

A: This product may be used in the USA.

Q: 10. Can you run a pair of these for a stereo mic (2 Tx, 2 Rx)? Interference issues?

A: Yes you could run a stereo pair without interference.

[2.8 V p-p (Max)] I love this wireless system... No glitches in sound, easy to set up, and I love the fact I don't need to buy batteries... package say you get about 5.5hrs of charge but I seem to be getting more than eight of continues usage...

[Off/On Switch] Bought these to connect my Zoom H5n to my DLSR. Of course I had to have a 1/8 adapter for the receiver to go into my DLSR. Audio sync automatically with no issues using the default channel. I am using other 2.4 wireless devices but these babies work perfectly with zero interruptions. I’ve tried quite a few products and had to return them all due to sound dropping in and out. Unless I happen to break them, I don’t see a need to try anymore products. It feels good to finally get the wireless connection I’ve been needing to step my game up!

[-88 dBm] I was using the Line6 relay G10. It worked fine, but this is so much simpler. G10 needed separate power for receiver. The U2 simplifies.

[0.955 lb] Absolutely flawless operation. I have two sets, considering another... They hold a charge well enough, never an issue and they just work. I don't try them over distance, just in my guitar room, spare bedroom. So I dont ask a lot of them, just work as a cordless guitar to amp conection in a confined area and as I say, they just work. The red is really quite nice. I think I'll go for the carbon fiber print on the next set. The gold was kind of blah in person...
