Kodak VISION3 Color Digital Intermediate Film 35mm 2000' Rollis designed as a seamless bridge between VISION3 and other color negative films and VISION color print films with excellent performance in virtually any recorder, from laser to CRT to LED. Compared to previous VISION intermediate films, the updated VISION3 emulsion offers approximately 1.5 stops increased sensitivity and density range for greater efficiency during digital post-production stages. This film also has enhanced consistency, latent-image keeping (LIK), color purity, and dye stability for predictable and repeatable results. This #$2254 film features a polyester ESTAR base without a rem-jet layer, which enables easier processing and printing with fewer spots. The ESTAR base also incorporates an antistatic layer to benefit handling in various working conditions.

This item is one 2000' roll of 35mm color intermediate movie film for process in ECN-2 chemistry. It is perforated on both edges (BH-1866) and wound on a Type Y core.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I shoot with a 35mm camera, can I develop it normally? and How is it different from kodak vision3 250d 5207?

A: This listing is for the Kodak Vision3 250D #5207 35mm Color Negative Silent Movie Film (400'). If you have the proper equipment and knowledge, it is possible to reload this film into 35mm cassettes, shoot in a 35mm film photography camera, and develop it. When developing the film, you must take steps to remove the RemJet backing.

Q: 2. What does it mean that it is an open box? Is the film still fresh?

A: The open box Kodak VISION3 200T Color Negative Film #5213 (35mm, 1000' Roll) is fresh. There is slight damage to the packaging, but the film is good.

Q: 3. Assuming I use a bulk loader, and a lab that has the ECN2 process, how many frames would I get from this?

A: The rule of thumb is 1 foot has 16 frames so 200 feet has 3,200 frames.

Q: 4. Could this be used to bulk load 36-exposure rolls for a photography camera?

A: Hi David, Kodak does not recommend it.

Q: 5. I have a Keystone Model A-7. Will this film work for that camera? I can't find much info on it.

A: It will not! Older 16mm cameras like that use double perf film, this roll is single perf. You can order double perf from Kodak or check out Orwo film.

Q: 6. Will this work as a substitute for the Kodachrome 40 (K40) film cartridge?Asked on 12/11/2013 by Dave from CanadaI'm curious about this as well, I would love to be able to use this in my Kodak xl 55 or 33. Perfect cameras for older folks with unsteady hands.

A: Yes the film can be used instead of the K40 film but the K40 film is a positive film and the visions is a Negative film.

Q: 7. How many ft for 400 rolls?

A: This is a 400 foot roll of movie film.

Q: 8. What's the date?fresh or out of?

A: While we cannot offer an exact expiration date for the Kodak VISION3 500T, it would be in the range of 6 months to one year from now.

Q: 9. How many frames can be expected from this roll?

A: One would need a large enough bulk loader to roll the Kodak VISION3 250D Color Negative Film #5207 (35mm, 200' Roll) for photography. This would yield approximately 36 rolls of 36 frames.

Q: 10. How much time is on a 400' roll of 35mm film at 24 and 18 fps?

A: Using Kodak's film rate calculator online (unfortunately I cannot reliably post links in the answer), you should be able to calculate the time on each 400' roll of VISION3 film. According to their calculator, 24 fps yields 4 minutes 26 seconds, and 18 fps yields 5 minutes 55 seconds.

[ESTAR] An absolutely stunning color film at a very reasonable cost per roll. Tons of latitude and very accurate colors when processed ECN-2.

Despite what a lot of folks on the internet suggest, I was unable to get satisfactory results when cross processing in C-41 chemistry. The images were just far too blue shifted, even when shooting with the correct 85b filter under daylight.

Instead I've taken to mixing ECN-2 developer following the Kodak datasheet, which I use in conjunction with my existing Kodak flexicolor C-41 bleach and fixer. This gets me color accurate images and so far doesn't appear to require the specified sulfuric acid stop bath that Kodak specifies.

[120.0 µm]  It delivers excellent image quality if you shoot it during the day and surprisingly good at night. My experience with Cinestill 800T and Kodak Vision 3 5219 500T already establish a foundation that those are my go-to films if I am going to do some street photography at night. However, what Kodak 250D can actually offer me are the super-rich contrast and deep black.

[35mm BH-1866] Great tungsten balanced stock with fairly low grain. Can handle a wide range of lighting situations. Sharp images. Great latitude.
