Kodak VISION3 500T Color Negative Film 5219 65mmis a high-speed, tungsten-balanced movie film characterized by a fine grain structure, broad dynamic range, and the flexible nominal sensitivity of a 500-speed index. It has a wide exposure latitude with exceptional highlight control for working in a variety of lighting conditions, ranging from high-contrast outdoor lighting to mixed interior light situations. Advanced Dye Layering Technology (DLT) is also used to reduce the appearance of grain in the shadows for cleaner detailing and clarity. As part of the VISION3 series of movie films, this stock has high archival stability and is well suited to digital post-production processes.

This item is one 1000' roll of 65mm color negative movie film for process in ECN-2 chemistry. It is perforated on both edges (KS-1866) and wound on a Type P core for use in-camera, for making optical prints, or for bidirectional printing.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work on a Keystone XL100?

A: Yes, it will.

Q: 2. Could this be used to bulk load 36-exposure rolls for a photography camera?

A: Hi David, Kodak does not recommend it.

Q: 3. è possibile avere una sola bobina di Kodak Vision3 500T-6219 65mm -500ft? Grazie

A: This film is only sold in multiples of 15

Q: 4. How many ft for 400 rolls?

A: This is a 400 foot roll of movie film.

Q: 5. Will this work with Kodak Brownie automatic?

A: The Kodak Brownie Movie camera is an 8mm, not a Super 8 camera and thus cannot take this film. The only film in the world available for your camera is this black and white film from the Czeck Republic. Foma Fomapan R100 Black and White Transparency Film (Double Standard 8mm, 32.8' Roll) B&H # FOR1002XS810.

Q: 6. Hi this is made in 2023 or 2024? Thanks

A: Unfortunately, we cannot access the Kodak VISION3 500T Color Negative Film #5219 (35mm, 400' Roll) to read the expiration date before shipping, but as a rule B&H does not sell film within 6 months of expiration.

Q: 7. Would this film work with a Canon Cine Canonet 8?

A: The Canonet 8 is a regular 8mm camera. It uses a spool of film rather than a super 8 cartridge. You will see regular 8mm refered to as double standard 8 or regular 8. They are the same. I would suggest you buy a roll of Fomapan R100 Black and White Transparency Film (Double Standard 8mm, 32.8' Roll), which can be bought from B&H. If you want to shoot color negative or color reversal, do a google search for John Schwind International Film Brokers. He sells 500T and 50D. He special orders 8mm film from Kodak and as far as I know, is the only source of color negative regular 8mm. Make sure you buy regular 8mm film which comes in 25ft spools, as opposed to super 8 which comes in a 50ft cartridge. With regular 8mm you shoot half of the reel and then flip the reels to expose the other half. Don't worry. It's not as complicated as it sounds. Do a google search for more info. You probably can even find a manual online for this camera. Hope this helps!

Q: 8. Can I somehow place this in an Autoload cartridge for an old Bell and Howell 8mm cam?

A: Hi, I think not. But Im not a manufacturer of super 8mmm camera. You can buy a 8mm. It's rare, but I think is available in some specialized shop. This film is for youre camera. Good luck.

Q: 9. Can I use this with my canon 310XL?

A: Works amazing with the 310XL!18fps + F1 lens + 500T = Super low light combination.

Q: 10. Ok, what about films kodak 50 D and 200T, will work in camera eumig mini 5?

A: maybe I haven't tried it so ask a professional!!

[Acetate] I'm tired of buying this in 100ft rolls with light leaks.
This 400ft roll arrived in its original packaging and handled well.

[Acetate] I use this for shooting NBA warm ups and all the special moments before tip off. it’s perfect for that nostalgic look we don’t see often anymore. If you appreciate that Last Dance halation and film look this is a great choice. Can be used for a variety of projects and scenes.

[ECN-2]  It delivers excellent image quality if you shoot it during the day and surprisingly good at night. My experience with Cinestill 800T and Kodak Vision 3 5219 500T already establish a foundation that those are my go-to films if I am going to do some street photography at night. However, what Kodak 250D can actually offer me are the super-rich contrast and deep black.

[10.4 lb] I had written a review of this film based on an experience I had with it about 5 years ago, using both negative and reversal films on the same project. I recently shot another project with both the 500t and Kodak ektachrome and was extremely pleased to find that the 500t actually looked better than the ektachrome! It handled low-light beautifully, the grain was nice, and the contrast was far better than that of the Ektachrome. The Ektachrome was too contrasty, making some images almost useless. The 500t footage was just beautiful and still retained the distinct character of Super 8 film, without the excessive worry you'd have with a low ASA film or with reversal. I highly recommend!!!!
