The MicroPod is capable of holding cameras up to 2.6 lb, and with a maximum height of 5.6", it helps to shoot at a low angle for tabletop or macro photography.

The one-section legs have sure-grip rubber feet that prevent the MicroPod from sliding on smooth surfaces and securing a better grasp on the ground while the tripod is at an incline.

The 5 oz tripod folds to a compact 7.3", which makes it suitable to fit into a backpack, camera bag, or your back pocket.

The tripod's legs fold to become an ergonomic handle that provides you the added option of handheld operation of compact or mirrorless cameras while you are capturing video.

The integrated ball head has a 1/4"-20 threaded camera mount along with a collar that you can turn to lock your position in.

The cut notch on the side of head enables you to place a camera at a 90° angle, and also swivel the head a full 360°.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use my Peak capture quick release instead of the plastic plate? What happens when the plastic release plate breaks? Can something else be used such as the Peak capture or is there a replacement?

A: The quick release plate that comes with this, is a dedicated piece that is not universal and cannot be replaced with another plate.

Q: 2. What is the range of heights for this stand, with the legs unfolded? It says up to 8.5 , but what's the lowest it will go? Obviously the telescoping portion can't go below where the legs go down to.

A: 7-1/2 - 10

Q: 3. What are the dimensions of this stand when folded up?

A: The manufacturer has not provided folded dimensions for the Zoom TPS-4 Tabletop Tripod Mic Stand, but the folded size is approximately 6" long x 2 wide.

Q: 4. My son has the Kodak PIXPRO SP360 Action Camera with Extreme Pack will this tripod work with this, or do I need to have the mini ball kit too? Thanks.

A: This tripod has a standard screw thread. Viewing images of the Kodak camera of your child, I think so would serve properly. I used it with dslr cameras, point and shoot, and gopro (with an adapter to gopro because she does not bring thread)

Q: 5. What are dimensions for packing (closed up) this tripod?

A: The maximim working height of the Magnus MaxiGrip Flexible Tripod (Blue), B&H # MATB200BL, is 9.7" (24.6 cm).

Q: 7. The tripod has 2 different size HEX head screws, yet you are only supplied with one Allen wrench. Why?

A: The included Hex / Allen wrench is to be used to remove leg segments and adjust rigidity of the tripod. This is for the screw that is under the rubber ring on the leg segments.

Q: 8. what are the lumens?

A: The photometrics for each light is 63.6 fc / 685 Lux (or Lumens) at 3.3' / 1 m

Q: 9. Can this also be used for a compact camera?

A: If the camera is not wider than a phone it could work

Q: 10. it says it is dimmable from 100% to 0% - in what increments??

A: The manufacture does not list the dimming increments on the Genaray Bluetooth RGB Panel 2-Light Kit with MicroPod Tabletop Tripods (5 x 7"). Chances are it is no smaller than 10% as it dims.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] So my first impression out the box was a little underwhelming due to the build quality. It felt very plastic and light weight compared to my manfrotto mini tripod but after actually using it for vlogging for the next few days I quickly changed my mind. The things that I faulted it for were small but beneficial when using it for vlogging. These table top tripods are best when used with point and shoot cameras, small action cameras or accessories. For heavier set ups I would go with the better built manfrotto. One thing that stuck out to me when actually using it vs unboxing it was the notch that is cut out to allow the ball head to go back a lot further than my manfrotto. This allows you to get a few more inches of distance when vlogging. If you are like me and don't like when the camera is too close to your face then this helps. It is a small difference but a noticeable one for me. You don't notice the lack in build when actually using it the way I did. The lighter weight made me feel like I was only holding my camera. On top of that its around ten dollars cheaper than my manfrotto option. Unless your entire goal is build quality or heavier set ups, id save some money and get this one if your use will be similar to mine. So for the price and actual usability I give it 5 stars.

[Ball Head] I’m using this tripod to hold my 7” Liliput monitor during streaming. Is solid and easy to adjust. I used one time to hold my BMPCC4k, worked but I couldn’t touch the camera at all. So don’t try it with heavier stuff. Overall well made. Legs doesn’t open more than what is supposed like others and you can lock and unlock with short and easy movement.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] The Magnus TP-50B tripod is a great little tripod for smartphones, with a smartphone mount like the Magnus STA-100B. It's light weight, but sturdy. I really like that the ball is tightened by a ring at the base of the dome that holds the ball, rather that a thumb screw that sticks out on the side.
