You can extend and collapse the 67mm FotodioX 3-Section Rubber Lens Hood, which has a metal ring, to different lengths to accommodate wide, normal, and telephoto focal lengths. Therefore, it matches the field-of-view and does not cause any vignetting in the image while it is being captured. The hood blocks stray light from entering the lens, which reduces lens flare or glare, and it protects the front element from scratches and accidental impact.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. For the 67mm model, what is the diameter of the hood when collapsed and uncollapsed, respectively?

A: The 67mm hood is 1/2 inch when collapsed, and 1 and 1/2 inches when open.

Q: 2. Will this lens hood produce any vignetting at 24mm when used on a Canon 24-105 RF f4 lens?

A: No, this lens hood is designed for wider lenses like 16mm. 24mm wouldn't even notice it so this should be good for your lens.

Q: 3. Hi, will it work with a Tamron 17-28mm with no vignetting? Thanks!

A: 17mm in a full frame camera is right in the border of where vignetting can occur. It is likely you will see some shading of the corners, but should not be major problem.

Q: 4. Does this lens hood work for a Nikon P900?

A: In 18mm you might have problem with the hood vignetting, but the beauty about it, is you can collapse it to remove the vignette. On photographing at a extra wide lens setting, the hood can slide back out of the way in an instant. The best thing about it is that you can screw it onto the outside of your circular polarizer and it makes adjusting more easy by rotating the hood.

Q: 5. Can you use a lens cap with this lens hood attached? What size?

A: Yes, it is able to attach with a lens cap.

Q: 6. will this lens hood work with the FUJIFILM TCL-X100 II Tele Conversion Lens?

A: Although it will physically fit, it is likely that you will see the edges of the hood in the images.

Q: 7. Does it fit to Sony alpha 600 16 - 55 mm lens

A: The lens hood is a screw-on (55mm male threads). I use it on a Canon f1.2 Rangefinder lens (55mm female threads for filter attachment) adapted to a Sony Alpha7II camera

Q: 8. will this hood produce vignetting when combined with the Schneider Super angulon MC 90mm f8 lens for 4x5 cameras?

A: This will not cause vignetting with that lens.

Q: 9. Is there any reason this 67mm B+W rubber hood will not work on a canon 70-200 F4/L IS zoom. I hike and shoot in wooded/rocky areas. It may provide added protection to my lens. ?

A: If the size, 67mm, matches your lense, it will most likely work. I purchased to install on a new Nikon P900, to have some protection from side bumps, etc . and reduce side light reflections, but I also installed a 0 Filter inside this hood to help protect the actual lens glass. Have seen no problems with the quality of the pictures taken, but when my long zoom lens on this camera is at my normal wide angle setting, I have to fold the rubber hood back or will get the rounded corners showing up in the pictures. I also fold the hood when storing in my small camera case which it does very easily.

Q: 10. Can 67mm rubber lens hood be used in Sony FE24 - 70 mm. F4.0 ZA without Vignetting?

A: We have not tested this hood on that lens. However, our opinion is that most likely it will not vignette at the 24mm end. It may with a filter. One thing with a rubber hood, you can move it in or out and that often can solve problems. Here is a recommended hood that is metal. Sensei PRO 67mm Wide Angle Aluminum Lens Hood B&H # SELHMW67. And of course, the lens comes with the Sony hood. Sony ALC-SH130 Lens Hood B&H # SOALCSH130.

[67 mm] This collapsible hood has been perfect for a good seal when taking photos against glass--and without scratching that glass. Also, in my opinion, the screw threads on the B&W #900 hood are much better machined than most of the screw-in aluminum filter and step-up rings I've used--this hood easily screws on and off. For everyday use I now prefer this rubber hood over the dedicated hard hoods I bought for my Canon EF lenses.

[4 x 3.9 x 1.4"] I needed a lens hood and some protection for my Fuji TCL-X100 conversion lens. This accomplished both with no vignetting that I have yet to detect. Perfect fit. It also retracts!

[Metal, Rubber] Needed a hood for my Nikon 24-85 ed g lens. The Nikon hb 28 is unavailable. This is a great alternative. It allows the use of a lens cap while the hood is on. I am very pleased

[67 mm] Easily screws onto the filter adapter; seems to be sturdy construction and durable materials. I guess time will be the deciding factor...
