$16.50 $19.96

You can extend and collapse the 77mm FotodioX 3-Section Rubber Lens Hood, which has a metal ring, to different lengths to accommodate wide, normal, and telephoto focal lengths. Therefore, it matches the field-of-view and does not cause any vignetting in the image while it is being captured. The hood blocks stray light from entering the lens, which reduces lens flare or glare, and it protects the front element from scratches and accidental impact.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can be used with a tamron 70-200?

A: Yes as long as you lens is 77mm in diameter

Q: 2. Will this hood work with the Nikkor AF-S DX 18-300 f/3.5-6.3 ED VR lense? I see that some of the hoods available only work with specific zoom lengths.

A: The B+W 67mm #900 Rubber Lens Hood would fit onto the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR Lens as the lens has 67mm filter threads. However, as indicated under the Overview for the lens hood, the hood is designed for use with normal-length and short zoom lenses. I cannot guarantee the B+W 67mm #900 Rubber Lens Hood will cover the zoom range of the 18-300 f/3.5-6.3 ED VR lens. The rubber lens hood that would most closely match the zoom range of the Nikon 18-300mm lens would be the Hama 67mm Screw-In Rubber Zoom Lens Hood for 24mm to 210mm Lenses, B&H # HALHZ67. http://bhpho.to/1yuEumX

Q: 3. Can the hood be partially collapsed to still provide some sun protection while not causing issues for wide angles? Or is the hood either fully collapsed or fully expanded, nothing in-between?

A: it is a good quality hood, but no, there is no intermediate position

Q: 4. I want a hood I can stick up against windows to block reflections. Would this be workable for that? I'm hoping to avoid the super bulky ones.

A: The Sensei LHR2-T77 3-In-1 Rubber Lens Hood (77mm) could work for your purposes, but I recommend experimenting with it.

Q: 5. Do they fit the Fujifilm X100-series?

A: the lens hood fits my Sony A6000. It can only be used from 50mm and beyond because it vignets. I do not use it.

Q: 6. What is the outer diameter of this hood? Will it accept a 80mm lens cap?

A: No, this would take a 77mm lens cap that would click into the front of the ring, not the rubber part.

Q: 7. Is there enough internal clearance to work with Peter McKinnon Polar Pro VNDs? Please answer ONLY if you used this combo. Thanks

A: The Kaiser 77mm 3-in-1 Rubber Lens Hood and the PolarPro 77mm Peter McKinnon Signature Edition II Variable ND 0.6 to 1.5 Filter (2 to 5-Stop) are not compatible with each other.

Q: 8. Can this be used with a 24mm lens without vignetting? Extended or collapsed?

A: No for 24mm you would want the wide angel version. Sensei Wide-Angle Rubber Lens Hood (77mm) BH #SELHR2W77 • MFR #LHR2-W77

Q: 9. I am looking to purchase a 67mm lens but most of my existing filters are 77mm. If I use a 67-77 mm step up ring for filters then the canon lens hood can’t be used. Could I use this 67 mm rubber hood with the step up ring attached to the hood? If so, will there be any impact to the image?

A: You would more likely want to use a hood based on the 77mm size of the filter. That way the step up ring will not have fitting issues with the inside of the hood.

Q: 10. Does it accept filters ?

A: The interior of the lens hood contains a filter thread for 77mm lens filters.

[Thread] Perfect solution for a Nikon AF VR-NIKKOR 80-400 1:1.45-5.6D lens. The lens has to have a screw in lens hood. The normal lens cap still works. Thank you to the B&H chat for quickly providing me a link to this solution

[4.3 x 4.2 x 2"] In today's love of flare, it's great to use this to get rid of unwanted flare and make better photos.

[4.3 x 4.2 x 2"] Works great on my Sony 70-200 GM II. It is much smaller than the huge hood that comes with this lens. And it saves a lot of time when pulling the camera and lens from my bag and storing back in my bag since I no longer have to reverse the hood each time.

[77 mm] After my Canon RF 70-200mm lens hood took a hard hit that broke the lens hood mount right off of the lens, I thought I would never be able to attach a lens hood to my lens again... until I found this lens hood that screws right into the filter threads on the end of the lens! It works beautifully, and it's even easier to travel with than the original lens hood.

[0.175 lb] Received and mounted my second one, after having lost the first on one of my outings. I prefer it to the Canon original on my 100-400 mm because it does the job as well, is collapsible for bag or backpack, and offers better protection in the case of knocks. Great idea and execution.

[0.175 lb] This item I bought to shield side light entering the lens when shooting an interior photograph through a window while standing outdoors. Just hold the camera lens till the hood touches the window glass and be sure there is no light leakage. as evident in the viewfinder. Press the shutter release. This application only works for hand held exposures. It can serve as a wide angle lens hood, but the shading of the lens is limited due to the shallow extension of the hood.

[0.175 lb] What a great design! Does WA, normal and Tele in one hood. Compact for storing when folded to the WA extension.

[0.175 lb] First thing noted different than the description of the product is this hood is made of SILICONE and not rubber. Similar but not the same. Silicone is superior in UV and heat resistance and will provide much longer service. This hood is flexible and will NOT remain extended if any degree of force is applied. It stays in the pre-determined positions well even with the high degree of flexibility and no force applied. It threads cleanly on and off of the 77mm filter threads with no binding. It covers a range of 28 - 400MM with no vignetting or focus issues.

Since there was little dimensional detail regarding this item, the following provides dimensional values for the Kaiser 3-in-1 hood:
The length of the hood installed on a filter (B&W UV):
Fully extended: 2.50 inches (beyond glass)
Mid-Position: 1.50 inches
Full Collapsed: 1.12 inches

Hood maximum outside diameter: 4.12 inches
Hood minimum inside diameter: 3.88 inches
Hood wall thickness: .12 inch

In comparison to an installed Canon ET-83D Hood (100 - 400mm lens) with the same B&W UV filter, the Kaiser 77MM 3-1 flexible hood has .62 inch less effective length beyond the filter glass

I debated whether or not this hood would be worth the additional money versus a much cheaper rubber version. Yes it is. The material alone makes the difference. I would purchase this Kaiser hood again

[0.175 lb] I have lately been converted to the fanbase of collapsible lenshoods, both for my Nikon D7500 and Nikon Coolpix P1000. Hard lens hoods are all good, but take up valuable space in the bag/case. Plus, they need to be turned backwards, for all times that you don't use them (unless one relishes putting on and taking off the lenshood each time). I believe in ease of use and functionality, therefore I like keeping on the hoods. This one collapses in three stages, for tele, medium range and wide angle shots.
The thick, soft material is perfect protection for the camera lens.
I recommend.
