A: The Sony Drop-In Circular Polarizing Filter for Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens can be stored a in filter pouch, like the Ruggard 4-Pocket Filter Pouch (Up to 86mm), B&H # RUFPB244B.

Q: 3. I saw the question about teleconverters but I am unsatisfied by the question and the answer. To be specific - is this lens compatible with the Sony FE 2.0x Teleconverter? I would like to point out this: The Sony FE 2X teleconverter is only compatible with the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens at this time. - by Answered by Dennis A L. STAFF on Sep 29, 2016

A: Hi Lord, no. The Sony FE Teleconverter only supports these lenses: FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS, FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS, E PZ 18-110mm f/4 G OSS. -Anthony

Q: 6. I don't feel like I'm getting the kind of resolution I should when photographing the moon with this lens with the Sony A7R III, w/ or w/o the 1.4x extender and w/ or w/o manual focus or auto focus. Tripod with OSS off, of course. Lightroom to process. This goes to quality of resolution at or near infinity of this lens. Anyone else having success?

A: As mentioned by Ronald, the atmosphere is a factor, particularly when the moon is near the horizon when the air is moist. Also, remember that the moon is a moving object and should not be shot at speeds below 1/125. The old rule of thumb is 1/125 at f/8 with ISO 100.

Q: 7. How does it feel in your hand? Does it provide grip support for hand holding?

A: Based on the feedback we received on this product, it is comfortable to hold while adding grip support to these Sony lenses.

A: No, the filter in the Sony Drop-In Circular Polarizing Filter for Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens cannot be removed and replaced.

Q: 9. Is it compatible with Sony E mount lens 100-400mm

A: No, the 100-400mm does not use a rear drop in filter.

[16.3 x 8.7 x 2"] This foot is the perfect solution to mounting these very large lenses on a tripod. It makes for a lower profile and is much more stable than a tripod plate attached to the tripod foot provided with the Sony 400mm lens. This has made me a fan of Kirk products.

[Black] When you spend $12,000 for a lens like the Sony 400mm f/2.8 GM, the last thing you want is a cheap link between the lens and the tripod clamp. The Kirk foot is smart, well made and yet reasonably priced. This is my third Kirk replacement foot (100-400mm and 200-600mm).

The length of the foot allows me to balance the lens on a gimbal-style head, whether I'm shooting with the camera body only or with a camera body and vertical grip.

I also really like the QD socket when I'm carrying the lens with a strap for handheld action shooting instead of on a tripod or mono pod.

This foot has it all. I'm very happy with this replacement foot and B&H!
