The BE-126 Ball Head from Oben is a lightweight aluminum ball head with a load capacity of 26.4 lb, a large locking knob to control the movement of the ball, and a separate knob for the 360° panning movement. The individual knobs enable higher-precision adjustments to the head than are possible with single-lever heads. Taking panoramic photos is simple thanks to the panoramic scale at the base of the head. A notch in the ball head allows orientation to quickly change between portrait and landscape.

The included Arca-type quick release plate attaches to any camera and is secured in place with the receiver's locking knob, simply and reliably. Two removable safety screws on the bottom of the plate help prevent your camera from accidentally being released prematurely. One bubble level on the clamp and another on the locking knob ensure that the camera will be level with the horizon.

The BE-126 dual-action ball head boasts smooth and effortless operation and features separate locking knobs for independently adjusting the ball and panoramic base.

The BE-126 Ball Head includes an Arca-type quick release plate for easily mounting and dismounting a camera. Adding a compatible Oben quick release plate to all your cameras facilitates camera swapping so you can exchange cameras without interrupting your shoot.

The ball head features two integrated bubble levels to help make sure the camera is perfectly aligned with the horizon.

Q: 1. Can you turn the top clamp 90 degrees for either a camera base or for a tripod collar foot?

A: You can turn the ball sphere at a 90 degree angle. As for lenses with a tripod collar, those normally rotate 90 degrees directly without having to move the ball sphere on the head.

Q: 2. Will it fit on a Alta Pro 263AB 100 Aluminum Tripod?

A: Yes this ball head will fit nicely on an Alta Pro 263AB. I have an Alta Pro 2+ 263 and it fits like a glove.

Q: 3. Is there a way to ensure that the ball head doesn't come off when the panning feature is being used?. Are there screws from the window mount that "screw into" the ball head aside from the female? I notice that there are some protrusions from the window mount . Do those screw into the ball head? I am concerned that the ball will come off!! Thanks.

A: The BE-117 and Oben Car Mount designed to come off with adequate force in order for you to potentially replace the ballhead with something else. If you would like it to be permanently attached, we recommend using a very strong (and very permanent) thread sealants like Loctite, which you can acquire from hardware stores.

Q: 4. Why is an Allen key included with this unit? It has a knob to tighten the unit to the window?. Is it for the ball head? But the ball head plate has a D ring. ???

A: The Allen key is for tightening the set screws to lock the ball head to the window mount base.

Q: 5. What is the diameter of the base and why don't you include that on all of your tripod heads?

A: It measures 47mm at its widest

A: The RP-10 release plates fits the following heads: BA-108, BA-111, BA-113, BA-108T, BA-111T, BA-113T, BA-00, BA-00T, BA-0 & BA-0T. This suggests the BA-108 or BA108T head are compatible but the BE-117 is not.

Q: 8. Will this head work with the Tamron 150mm-600mm lens?

A: Justin,I too have the Tamron 150mm-600mm lens and this workswell. Just tighten down when needed and no slips.Great product you will be pleased.

Q: 9. Does this accept a standard ARCA plate or does it require one specific to this product?

A: This takes standard arca-swiss plates, and has recessed grooves for safety screws that some arca-swiss plates have. It also comes with its own plate, just in case you need one.

Q: 10. will the BE-117 fit on a Bogen 3021 tripod?

A: As long as the tripod has a 3/8 thread it should work

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I use my Nikon 800 lens almost exclusively. I have a 70 - 200 and a Nikon 200-500. All three are great but the Z9 with the 800 were game changers. Ok now to the Oben BE-126 Ball head window mount. It is really well made. My 800 fits on it very easily. I have always had a little trouble with a ball head but could work with it very nicely. If you are using a smaller lens, this is made for you. Oh yes, B&H are super great to work with. AJD 5

[Ball Head] We purchased these for our Celestron Spotting Scope. We use them on our truck window while driving around the local rice fields to view wildlife. The window attachment is incredible secure and the ball head allows for easy repositioning for the scope. We also use it for my Sony a6500 with my 70-300 lenses. Very pleased with this purchase. 5

[Yes] This is a small, high-quality ball head, but should be ok for most DSLR's or mirrorless cameras. I use mine mounted to a Platypod with a Canon 5DIII without the battery grip, when I'm photographing low to the ground. 5

[Ball Head] The ball head handles my D800 and Sigma 150-600mm lens well. I read other reviews and pay attention to reoccurring concerns. I've experienced none of those concerns. The ball head works smoothly and holds its place, and the window mount is rock solid--far more than what tripods can offer. So if you know you will be in places where you can shoot from your car window, the window mount is perfect. 5
