[Mono] The Sennheiser e935 is a blessing for those of us with muddy voices, my Shure sm58 copy was too dark, the e935 brings out a strong and interesting sounding midrange quality to my voice, I'm not a powerful singer but this mic really helps. 5

[Solid-State] i use the sennheiser e935 for vocal communication and song demos . the clarity and high gain without feedback are amazing . this mic is better for vocals if you need to leave your monitors on in the same room . at the price i paid it cannot be beat . 5

[Cardioid] This is a cardioid microphone, which means it will get a little more background sound than a super-cardioid, but it avoids the problem of feedback from the bottom of the mic (that super-cardioids have) (and subsequent attention to not have the bottom point at speakers - ie: easy to avoid feedback issues). Excellent subject isolation, with good proximity effect, and little handling noise. Overall, excellent, and easy to use - great for live performances, guest speakers, etc. 5

[Mono] I needed a new mic to update my trusty but ancient 20 year old Audix. The choice was between a Shure SM58 and a Sennheiser. Considered an E835; decided to go bigger with the E935. I've used Shure 58s for vocals and liked them a lot (they've got a stellar reputation for a reason), but the numerous positive reviews of the e935 for all vocal types and music styles convinced me to purchase it. I'm happy I did. It adds more sound colors to my alto voice. (P.S. The audience notices too!) Thanks B&H for a great price and fast ship. 5
