Designed to be attached between a compatible lens and a Micro Four Thirds mount camera, the Olympus MC-20 M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverterdoubles the magnification of select Olympus lenses, dramatically boosting the apparent focal length of those lenses with a minimal increase to the size or weight of the camera and lens combination.

Electronic communication between an attached camera and lens is supported, maintaining autofocus and image stabilization, including Olympus FAST AF as well as 5-Axis Image Stabilization features whenever possible. Inside this teleconverter, nine optical elements including one HR lens, in four groups with Olympus's ZERO coating help to ensure clarity and color fidelity while reducing ghosting and flare.

Sealed against dust, moisture, and the effects of freezing temperatures, this teleconverter is constructed for dependable weather resistance. When used with the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO Lens, this teleconverter also enables tele-macro photography with up to 0.96x magnification as well as up to +5 EV stops of image stabilization with the Olympus OM-D E-M1X Mirrorless Digital Camera.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with the EM-5?

A: Yes, the Olympus MC-20 M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter is compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera. This Teleconverter will only work with select Olympus lenses.

Q: 2. Will this work with the OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 90mm f/3.5 Macro IS PRO Lens (Micro Four Thirds) lens?

A: The Olympus MC-20 M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter is not compatible with the OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 90mm f/3.5 Macro IS PRO Lens (Micro Four Thirds) lens. The Olympus MC-14 M.Zuiko Digital 1.4x Teleconverter is compatible with the Macro lens.

Q: 3. How many stops of light are affected by this teleconverter ?

A: Typically all 2x converters lose 2 stops of light.

Q: 4. Is there ANY functionality of the AF or AE or OIS using a Panasonic lens with this teleconverter? Am I correct to assume that at least it will attach to any MFT and maintain manual focus and function?

A: Manual focus would be available for the most part when using it with M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO or the M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO. However, AF would be more likely with the former of the two lenses.

Q: 5. How many stops of light are affected by this teleconverter ?

A: Used with the 40-150mm f2.8, the fastest adapted speed becomes f4. However, with the incredible ISO range of, say, an em1, this is a negligible loss. If you need the extra reach, go for it. You won't be sorry.

Q: 6. Will this work with Olympus 75mm f1.8?

A: The MC-20 is not compatible with the Olympus 75mm f/1.8 lens.

Q: 7. El MC-20 2X work with olympus12-100 pro lens, olympus?

A: No, it is compatible with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 PRO and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm F4.0 IS PRO

Q: 8. Can I get replacement caps for my teleconverter?

A: The Sensei Body Cap and Rear Lens Cap Kit for Micro 4/3, BH #SEBCM43RCK would be compatible. https://bhpho.to/2RKLwsP

Q: 9. Does anyone know if there’s a 2X Tele converter for the Olympus 75mm 1.8?

A: Unfortunately, Olympus does not produce a teleconverter than can work with their 75mm f/1.8 lens.

Q: 10. Will this work with Olympus 100-400 IS lens? How much clarity will you lose?

A: The degrade of clarity depends on lens and sensor combo. To avoid that much lost of clarity we highly suggest 1.4 tele.

[2x] This teleconverter is the best thing for the 40-150 2.8 pro Lens you can buy. Great sharp pictures.
It's small and compact. Takes up very little room in my bag.
Very happy with this MC-2O

[2 Stop] I use this with the 40-150 F2.8 Pro lens. I was concerned about image quality. My concerns were unfounded. I have had the 1.4 converter for years and never had an issue. The MC-20 is great, maintaining. great image quality.
I have the new M.Zuiko 100-400 on order and looking forward to really getting some reach out of that lens with this converter.
Depending on your needs, I recommend this as a great converter, giving one a lot of options, now that Olympus has 3 lens that are compatible with the converters.

[2x] Excellent performance in an extraordinarily small, light weight package. Just remember you lose 2 F-stops which is no problem with Olympus pro lenses.

[2x] This was used extensively on the 40-150mm f/2.8 and 300mm f/4 lenses while shooting handheld in Brazil's Pantanal and photographing the wildlife. No issues with optical stabilization and image quality was excellent with the two lenses with which it was used.

[0.6 lb] Just purchased this and already have some great pictures that would not have been possible with the 300mm Pro by itself.

[0.6 lb] I'm using the MC-20 with my 40-150mm, f/2.8 Pro on an E-M1, II. A relatively inexpensive way to reach out to 300mm (600mm FF equiv.) with really very good image quality. Like any 2.0x teleconverter you will take a hit of two-stops, as the combo will become f/5.6. It has the build quality and optics engineering you expect as a companion to two popular Olympus Pro lenses. A value-packed performer in my opinion. The sample photo is JPEQ from the camera with no editing, except minor cropping. Do not know the resolution of posted photo.
