As far as I'm concerned, it was a waste of my money. I have tried and tried to balance it with the weights and use it, never has performed as I thought it would.

A: This is not an issue we have heard of. To answer your question, the Serene can not be locked off. You can turn the spring force all the way up so it does not flex.
