Designed for small business deployments with high traffic and increased performance demands, like hi-tech start-ups, animation and design firms, and co-working spaces, the HPE Instant On AP15 Indoor Access Pointsupports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and provides up to 1733 Mb/s on the 5 GHz frequency band. It also supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and provides up to 300 Mb/s on the 2.4 GHz frequency band. Equipped with down-tilt, omni-directional internal antennas, this dual-band access point features a Gigabit Ethernet port that supports PoE (Power over Ethernet), ideal for transmitting both data and power over a single cable. There is also a USB host interface for future use. Smart Mesh technology makes it easy to expand the network into hard-to-wire areas.

Multi-user MIMO technology allows the ceiling-mountable access point to handle multiple simultaneous data streams. An integrated Bluetooth Low Energy radio allows for location-based and indoor wayfaring applications. With the mobile app or the cloud portal, you can easily manage your Wi-Fi as well as create separate guest and employee networks. Use the included clips to mount the access point to the ceiling rails or to a solid surface, like a wall or ceiling.

[2.31 lb] I originally had an Netgear Orbi mesh router, however it was slow as molasses. Once upgraded to the access point, my speeds tripled. Needed an AP due to the firewall configuration. One bit of advice, don't buy this stuff on Amazon. They sold a used AP that was still linked to another account. Won't be doing that again.

[Access Point] After using Cisco and Cisco Meraki for years, Aruba Instant Go got it right for small businesses. I have installed these APs in retail stores, restaurants and other small businesses. Easy install, amazing Guest Portal features and I love the app!

[Wall, Ceiling] Used 4 of these in a large new warehouse. They all configured at the same time making setup very fast. Great signal everywhere even exending outside 15-20 feet. Experiencing no signal drops on forklifts in the last week. They also have the ability to filter websites and have some of the characteristics of a firewall. Lots of flexibility compared to the Ruckus APs we were using at a 5th the price. We are going to be using these moving forward.

[Internal] Installation super straightforward via app. Otherwise, performs as advertised on the tin. No issues in SOHO environment.

[Internal] Great easy product. I would recommend creating an account online via the Aruba Instant On Portal first. Install the first AP with POE and uses the serial number to associate it with your Aruba account in the portal. For each subsequent device on the same network, you can just adopt them without needing to do the serial number part. Couldn't be happier, makes my life easy!

[Access Point] The Aruba Instant On is nice for home owners and I am sure for small businesses. It seems to work fairly well and I got this to increase coverage outside. It works better than I expected.

[Access Point] 1 Collect S/Ns before installing. 2 hang the APs on ceiling and connect them over eth to a trunk port with a separate vlan per ssid (like guest, employee, voice, etc). make sure untagged vlan has DHCP services and internet access. Put all APs in same switchport profile. Create an aruba acct, add the S/N manually. Once all are connected, create SSIDs Very easy to setup. Don't have these APs compete with same wifi client area.

[Yes, Kensington] I installed 4 of these devices in our community clubhouse. One is connected to our Comcast business router via ethernet cable (as the base), the others synch wirelessly with the base as a mesh network. The devices provide for good WI-FI reception across the entire clubhouse. Their phone app makes it very easy to define the network and setup the devices, and I am not a pro by any means. The hardest part was finding a good spot for the devices to cover all the rooms we have in the building. The phone app tells you if have good/fair/poor signal with an access point and the base, helping you to locate it. I went with the Aruba APs versus others I read about as they have the best features for the price. So far I am very happy with the purchase.
