Convert 208 or 200 VAC input into low voltage 120 or 100 VAC output for powering low-voltage equipment using the APC AP9626 Step-Down Transformerfrom APC. This transformer features a load capacity of 5000 VA, 12 x NEMA 5-15R outlets that are always powered on, a 3' NEMA L6-30P power cord, and a 2 RU form factor. Rack mounting brackets are included.

Please note that in order for the AP9626 to output the full 5000 VA, the input must be hardwired to a 5500 VA source.

Place the step-down transformer upstream of a UPS to avoid inrush current and saturation, eliminating the need for an oversized transformer.

[24 A] We've been through about 4 brands of Transformers before we finally found this winner. It has not got hot or made buzzing sounds like many other Transformers. We feel this will be a reliable addition to our household appliances as it powers a 220v Italian Espresso machine converting the 110v to 220v. 5

[12 x NEMA 5-20R] Six months ago we replaced some aging UPSs in our server room with new APC SRT5KVA units in a redundant configuration. Today we had a power failure. The units operated as designed. If the lights hadn't gone out, we may not have even noticed. 5

[NEMA L6-30P] Due to this UPS having a fairly standard NEMA L6-30P, “Twist Lock” input plug and a corresponding 30A, two pole upstream circuit breaker requirement, it is a breeze to install and configure. No pesky, hard wired inputs here! I’m not sure if anything which weighs 125 lb can be referred to as “portable”, but this input connector sure makes it easier to move and reconfigure the UPS, if needed. Double conversion topology, too! 5

[12 x NEMA 5-20R] This can be a big problem solver in your datacenter when you have just a few legacy devices that just cannot be operated at 208V, though there are fewer of these items every day (thank goodness). You can probably use a smaller step-down transformer than this, and you should, as this device is not inexpensive. I’ll mention that this item is styled to match the previous generation of Smart-UPS On-line UPSes. Please see the SRT5KRMTF and SRT10KRMT for step-down transformers that better match the current line of On-Line UPSes. 5

[0 to 95%] I have a 2000w transformer for my printer and vacuum, but only needed a 140W for our TV. This 200w is quiet and light (only 6 lbs versus the 21 lb 2000w transformer we also have). I purchased this in the US and brought over in my cary on. No trouble going through TSA (keep it in the original box). Was much cheaper and easier to find in the US than in France and works great. Knew buying from B&H the quality would be good, didn't want to risk using any other online source. Delivered as promised when I purchased so knew I would have it in time for my flight. 5

[90%] While almost every piece of computer gear can now operate on 208V (which you really should be doing…), there are still usually 4 or 5 items that MUST still be connected to 120V. This step-down transformer is the perfect device to allow that, with little fuss or complication. 5
