A: Never let the photos on B&H's website frighten you, they're no always up to date. Best way to check is to look for the original manufacturer SKU # which reads T580100 That is the correct cartridge, it will work.

Q: 3. How long can the ink sit on the shelf before installing? Shorter question can the ink go bad or dry up before going into the printer and how long before it does so?

A: Shelf life is approximately 2 years. But I have used ink that has been outdated 4-5 years without any drying issues or degradation of quality. Once the cartridge has been opened, you should have at least a year before any type of quality issues start to occur.

Q: 4. What kind of water resistance does this dye based ink offer?

A: It is considered water-resistant, but it is not recommended to drop water on the image.

A: That depends on a number of variables, not the least of which is the size of prints being produced. Unless you're frequently doing very large prints, the shelf life of the cartridge will be exceeded before you run out of ink. I've been very impressed with the number of prints possible with a set of cartridges, although I did have to replace the black cartridge earlier.

A: Epson does not list an expiration date on the inks for the P700 printer.

A: Well it depends on the color of the ink and the color of the picture. The 4900 uses color ink even to print B&W pictures . So it is a question that needs more information to answer.

A: This pack will print in general, about a dozen 13x19, seems to be about, ehh, 30-35 8x10s or so. But I also find that these inks, now that no current printer USES them, that they do NOT Last as long. I am not sure if they are DRYING UP in the warehouse or what, but when I first got my printer, they printed A LOT MORE per set than my last ones did.

A: This kit will not be compatible with the 3800. The Epson 3880 and 3880 share the same ink cartridges except for 2. The 3800 uses magenta (EPMCU803800) and light magenta (EPLMCU803800). The 3880 uses vivid magenta (EPSP3880VMI) and vivid light magenta (EPSP3880VLMI). We do carry a complete kit for the 3800. Here is our SKU for it: (EPCSP3800PK1).
