Featuring a black chrome finish, the Monitor Stand II from Matthews, without casters, has a minimum working height of 26" and rises to a maximum height of 72". The stand will support gear weighing up to 70 lb. The Monitor Stand II also features an adjustable rocky mountain leg to level the stand on uneven terrain.

Q: 1. Is this as stable as The Slider Stand? Looking for something heavy duty that has wheels for our Kessler Shuttle Dolly. The wheels that you add to The Slider Stand are ridiculously expensive adding an additional $200 to a $281 stand!

A: No, the Slider stand is more stable. But not by a lot, the slider stand supports up to 80lbs and the monitor stand supports up to 70lbs.

Q: 2. THE WHEELS ARE INCLUDED ?

A: No. They have to be purchased separately. Definitely a must, though. This stand is solid & heavy

Q: 3. Is this stand suitable for use with a boom such as BH #MABJM?

A: This work for a manfrotto superboom or mini boom.

A: This is a miniature stand that holds small dots and similar to block light from a still life set for very precise small lighting.

A: The unit I own is all sold as one piece. The 5/8's pin is an integral of the stand. You might be able to obtain individual parts from Matthews through B&H.

Q: 8. Is this stand still being made? I'm not seeing it on MSE's site under their current stands.

A: Yes, the Matthews MINIVATOR II 142" geared stand is back pre ordered till mid Apr 2023

Q: 9. How is this any better than a C-stand with a 20" riser? The C-stand is cheaper, more versatile (comes with an arm). I'd like to know why this would be better specifically for monitoring.

A: The following stand has a wider foot print and can support more weight.

Q: 10. What is the weight of the stand with out the wheels?

A: According to the manufacturer its 17 lbs.

[Black] While seeming a bit pricey vs other options we considered, this has proven to be the most robust, with a minimum height below all we could find (29) and a weight capacity well beyond alternatives (70lbs). Combined with the [Matthews Monitor Mount for Baby (5/8) Spigot (BH# MAMMLS)], which supports 65lbs as a VESA-like attachment and hold monitors at an angle, we were able to wedge a display quite surgically between other stands, lights, etc in our studio, getting new life out of an old 30 Dell 3008WFPt (that weighs ~35lbs). Really satisfied, arrived in a smaller box than most stands, easy to set up. 5

[16.8 lb] This is perfect for sliders, Dana Dolly, lights or monitors. I'm constantly using this stand and over time, I've added 4 to my kit. It's excellent. 5

[Yes] My monitor setup has a lot going on and is really heavy. I was bending a Matthews rolling baby stand. This appears to be so much stronger. I haven’t been out with it yet but so far I’m very pleased. I have the matching slider stands and they’ve been heavily used for years. I love them. I expect to love this just as much. Seems to be made the same way. 5
