Q: 1. Will this work for other cages, or just the black magic?

A: The Tilta Quick Release Top Handle for BMPCC 4K Cage will only fit the Tilta Blackmagic Cage.

Q: 2. Will this handle fit the Sony FX9?

A: The Tilta Top Handle for Sony FX6 (B&H# TIEST20TH) would generally be considered too small for a Sony PXW-FX9 XDCAM 6K Full-Frame Camera System (Body Only) (B&H# SOPXWFX9) even though it could be made to fit its threads. It is appropriate for mid-sized cinema cameras with two top 1/4"-20 female threads.

Q: 3. Does this work with small rig full cage for bmpcc 6K screen ?

A: This hasn't been tested by us since we have our own rig that we design products for but I would think that it is not compatible because the sunhood is mounted onto a specifically placed screw hole that is within the cold shoe mount that is on the top of the Tiltaing rig.

A: Unfortunately the handle cannot rotate unless physically removing the handle and attaching it the opposite way on the nato rail.

Q: 6. What monitor mount matches the 1/4" front mount with pins? I can only seem to find 3/8" mounts.

Q: 8. Hey Guys, I have a SmallRig Full Cage is that cable compatible with this SmallRig Cage?

A: We haven't tested this but I'm not sure it would be compatible since the cable attaches to a very specific part of the Tilta cage using a small screw (M3 or M4) and then also attaches to the Tilta SSD Drive Holder for Samsung T5 using the same screw connection. If the SmallRig cage has this exact placement with the exact same screw hole, then it would work but I don't believe it does.

Q: 9. Hi. I ordered this product hoping it would fit in my SmallRig 2203 Full Cage for BMPCC 4K. Well, it didn't. So, my question is: Can you recommend a screw or such thing to fit the Hood in my CAGE?

A: Tilta and SmallRig are arch competitors and they do not wish to play nice. That is why there is no known way to adapt your Tilta sunshade to a SmallRig. If you are a DIY kind of person, perhaps you can get aluminium stock and cut and drill something that works. Otherwise, we suggest that you get SmallRig's sunshade. Q: 10. will this fit the tilta advance rig cage for canon c70?

A: No, the following unit is designed and meant to attach to a rosette on the top side of the Tilta camera cage for the RED KOMODO only.

[Thumbscrew] This camera cage for the BMPCC 4k is fantastic! I've added everything from an Atomos Ninja V monitor to the top handle feeling secure that the handles release pin will keep it secure. I then purchased an additional Tilta Handle that houses a battery and a right hand handle that hits the rig as well. On top I have secured my ssd with ease and look forward to adding a Hollyland in the near future. Which currently the cage can handle as well. 5

[2 oz / 59 g] I ordered this to go with my Tilta full cage for my BMPCC6K. the design and build quality are great. I really like that you can mount a Samsung SSD to the top of it (with Tilta SSD Mount). The hood definitely helps see the very dim BMPCC screen better. 5

The power handle is a piece of art and allows use of Sony F970 battery with 4-5 times the capacity of the BMPCC LP E6 battery. This grip also adds protection to the HDMI, Power, and USB C connections. The cage wraps closely to the camera but allows access to all of the buttons. I also purchased the Tilta sun shade. Very well made and highly recommended. 5

[Thumbscrew] This is the first review I’ve written and I decided to write it for this particular item. I own a BMPCC4K and do a lot of run and gun filming. Much of that filming take place outside. I’ve always used and external monitor but that can be bulky at times when I want a low profile. But man oh man the BMPCC4K screen is useless outside. It will reflect and it makes it hard to just focus and exposure. I saw this item and decided to give it a shot. It came in the mail, I opened it and placed it on my Tilta Cage. And it was like some kind of magic when I stepped outside to test it out. This thing is amazing! It blocked out pretty much all the sunlight while using it at high noon! Assembly was pretty much sticking it onto the TILTA Sunhood and voilà! It’s easy to put on and take off when necessary. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to use the BMPCC4K screen outdoors. 5
