Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this gimbal work underslung? Trying to put together a ceiling mounted DSLR rig.

A: This can operate that way. The arm can rotate fully to allow for it to be underslung.

Q: 2. I have a GIT304 Grand Series Stealth Tripod with Flat Plate MFP23 will this GH-M1 thread right in ??

A: Yes the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head will thread right onto the Flat Plate MFP23.

Q: 3. The base of my gimbal head is slightly loose just above where it mounts to my tripod, so that when I loosen the lower arm locking screw, the gimbal head rocks slightly. Can the "GH-M1" logo plate on top of the base mount be pried off so I can tighten the mount slightly or add a shim to snug up the arm and eliminate the slight wobble?

A: The manufacturer do not list this as a possible solution. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly. Magnus Tel: 212-594-2120 Website http://www.magnustripods.com Email info@gradusgroup.com

Q: 4. Will it fit on my Sirui T-005BX?

A: Yes, the GH-M1 can fit onto the Sirui T-005BX.

Q: 5. Is the bottom part (rubber foot and spike) are removable? So, that I can screw it on a monopod base?

A: The foot of the Magnus DLX-M1 4-Section Monopod is not removable.

Q: 6. Does this work good with the Sony 200-600 mm lens?

A: The load capacity of the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head is 30LBs. It will be able to handle the Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens.

Q: 7. Is this gimbal wide enough to accommodate a "pro-sized" body; e.g. an older Nikon D3X? Thank you!

A: Gimbal heads can accommodate any camera body as you do not mount the camera to the gimbal, and instead mount the telephoto lens. Due to this, most DSLR bodies do not fit on the mounting platform and need to sit behind the gimbal.

Q: 8. Is the Magnus DLX-357 tripod head removable?

A: No, this tripod head is built-in and not removable or replaceable.

Q: 9. compatible with Oben AT-3586 Tripod?

A: This head is compatible with the Oben AT-3586 tripod.

Q: 10. what is the maximum diameter of the lens that this gimbal will accommodate?

A: The maximum diameter would be about 5.5 inches and almost all lenses are less than 5.5 inches around the tripod collar even if they are larger at the front.

[Flip Lock] This lightweight and very portable monopod is great for stabilizing my shots, when I'm using my Canon Powershot, fully zoomed in. And an additional benefit, it comes with a carrying case with a strap.

[Aluminum] Reasonably sturdy, and perfect for my a6400 with an ultra-wide lens. The clamps secure the legs in place,-no slippage. Keep your expectations in line with the price and you'll be happy. Way more convenient but longer than one with 4-5 screw-type adjustments.

[4] At the time of this review I got two of these for around $30. I thought there is no way they will be any good. But I'm very surprised. Well made and works great.

[Flip Lock] I previously had been using someone else's tripod for the last 4 years and when I moved I left it. So I tried to live without one and realized..nope. I am just an amateur and use it for fun mostly but even then, my quality reduced without one and forget about taking photos of a group using the timer.... Since I have a telephoto lens and I adore bird photography, I decided to get also a monopod since they were also super cheap. I found this option to be super affordable and reputable. I LOVE the foot the best because you just twist the rubber up or down so you can use the metal spike or not. I questioned my need for a head but as soon as I started using the monopod, I realized I don't need one so I am glad I saved the extra money. I chose this one also because of the height, I wanted to make sure I was able to get it high enough according to my height if needed, some monopods seem a little short. Plus the weight limit fit within my telephoto lens weight range which was probably the biggest factor.

[1/4"-20 Male] I bought this for use with my I-phone but found it to be adequate for taking stills and static video with my DSLR.

I have another Magnus tripod that I use with my ENG video camera and it performs as well as my much more expensive Vinton
