[Aluminum, Steel] This is the backbone of my BMPCC 4k rig. The Samsung T5 drive holder that comes with this will also work with the new T7 Shield (you just need to peel off the rubber cover). Should be noted only the T7 Sheild SSD has been approved for the BMPCC, the other T7's are not approved. The side handle really helps controlling the rig for handheld shots and can hold a NP-F550 Battery (or F570 with F550 footprint, such as the Blackmagic Design F570 battery). The hand grip also has two ports to utilize this battery, an 8v designed to power the Tilta Nano Nucleaus Follow Focus motor, and a 12v which can be used for other accessories, such as a monitor. The 12v is a 3.5mm 1.75mm port (just make sure the barrel plug has a long shaft - some plugs this size are a shorter barrel and won't work). The side handle is easy to remove to help with accessing the side ports on your BMPCC. The only part of the kit that I'm not using is the 15mm rods because I needed a longer set to house an external battery pack (small rig) on a horizontally mounted V-Plate so I have access to the BMPCC display for programming.

[Aluminum, Steel] Believe the hype -- this cage will take your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera to places you would never imagine. The camera is now usable in a tense, fast paced, professional production environment. This is due to the addition of many great features such as mounting options, rails, and, my favorite (and most looked over); the handling options. I recently worked on a shoot with an pro AC who's been working in the industry for many years, and he was extremely happy working with the Blackmagic PCC4K because of the opportunities this cage allowed for.


I also no longer have to worry as much about the camera breaking; the cage feels extremely solid, and I feel like I can bring it to harsh conditions for different shoots; this is GREAT for documentary filmmakers.


Overall, I haven’t found any Cons with this cage. If you own a BMPCC4K - this cage is a necessity!

[0.965 lb] I'm new to the entire film making universe, but this cage eliminates the validity of the only 2 complaints anyone has about the Blackmagic Pocket cam.


The weight and sturdiness helps a TON with stabilization, and I personally haven't used the F550 battery handle yet, but I trust everyone else's praises of how this solves the low battery life of the LP-6 inside the camera.


It's an awesome cage! No fitment issues at all! Everything lines up and feels solid. No loose fitments or mismatched pieces that I've seen with other similar products. Would definitely recommend for the pocket 4K!

[0.965 lb] If you’re in the market for a top of the line cage for your BMPCC 4k/6k buy the tilta! It’s built solid and all the connecting pieces are easy to attach/dissattch depending on the usage. The price is a little high compared to other cages but I do think worth it! I’m happy with my purchase
