A: Typically, you should avoid added weight with a camera cage on the gimbal as it can wear out the motors and/or throw off balance. That being said, the Tilta Extended Quick Release Baseplate for Select DJI Gimbals will sit at the bottom of the Tilta Full Camera Cage for BMPCC 6K Pro/G2/BMPCC 6K (B&H # TITAT11FCCB) while a small portion of the extended baseplate protrudes forward.

A: Where the string comes out, it is fixed. To vary the string point, you use different arms.

Q: 6. going to order one of these, was wondering which size arm to get- is it more based on the body of the cameraman/ type of camera rig/ or type of movement?

A: Arm selection is mostly based on type of camera. No extension=ENG handlheld camera over your shoulder. 5 Extension=for handheld cameras like RED or caged DSLR. 9 extension is for very large cameras. You also have to select the weight so that the string matches the load as well. Having used the Easyrig I can say it is a useful tool. In certain situations, it is the only one to use.

Q: 7. Are vests interchangeable? We have male and female operators at our company with vastly different waist sizes

A: The vest that comes with the Easyrig Vario 5 Standard Cinema Flex Vest with 5" Extended Top Bar is not interchangeable.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the DJI RS Focus Motor (2022)? Someone stated in the reviews that the guide pins are not compatible.

A: The Tilta Extended Quick Release Baseplate for Select DJI Gimbals does appear to not support the DJI Focus Motor mounting hardware, which do use a smaller screw mount than found on the side of this plate.

Q: 9. how does this compare to Easyrig Brand?

A: Flycam makes quality alternatives at a lower cost. They are very nice options for more affordable systems.

Q: 10. I'm not able to picture how this would work with a Ronin S and the Easyrig Minimax! Do one attach this mount to the top of a cage around the camera? If so, can the Ronin S really operate properly if there is a force from above pulling on it rather than just gravity pulling downwards on the gimbal?

A: Hi Ian, Thanks for your interest in Easyrig. The Ronin S can be used with the Minimax with Quick Release in its Underlung mode. This will allow stabilization functionality of the gimbal. In this position, the Quick Release can be mounted to the bottom of the Ronin-S grip via 1/4-20" mounting point.
