However, there is definite corner shadowing at the widest angles. So depending on how often you shoot wide, it may become a hindrance. My wide angle extends to 76 degrees while your Sigma extends to 79 degrees. Therefore, it is likely to have even more corner shadowing. Beyond the wide angle, however, the hood works fine. In my case, I only need to zoom in a bit to remove the corner shadows. However, there have been times when I took off the hood when the corner shadows were annoying (and I didn't have any sun reflection issues).
