The Audix DN43 Dante AES67 Microphone Interfacefrom Audix DN43 Dante AES67 Microphone Interfaceis the heart of a microphone system that offers audio performance through Ethernet networks. It can be used to provide microphone functions including on-off contact closure and LED status indicators for meeting rooms, convention centers, educational facilities, and houses of worship through a single Cat 5 - Cat 7 cable with RJ45 connections.

The DN43 interface features one port for the Audix M3 tri-element microphone and one port for Audix RJ45-equipped single-element microphones. The configuration eliminates wiring errors and accelerates installation. In addition, all Audix RJ45-equipped microphone gain structures are optimized for their intended placement, which provides quality audio at the DSP. The result is true plug-and-play installation.

Furthermore, the interface is equipped with two 5V logic outputs per port and source/sink capability for LEDs that are controlled by network-connected DSPs. Low-pass and high-pass filter settings are available for each audio channel as well as eight selectable gain levels with all settings configurable via software.

1 x Tri-Element Mic Port, 1 x RJ45 Port    High-Fidelity 24-Bit, 48 kHz Audio    Balanced Audio Inputs with RFI Filtering    48V Phantom Power Output    Channels with Selectable Preamp Gain    Low- and High-Pass Filters    Independent Channel Control    Flash Memory Prevents Loss of Settings

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the round latency spec for each sample rate?

A: Roundtrip latency would be calculated by having an analog conversion and back again. The Focusrite RedNet PCIeNX Dante PCIe Dante Interface Card does not have any analog IO, so to measure roundtrip, it would need to be paired with another device to measure, which would also add to the latency time. Being that all analog IO has slightly different latency specs, Focusrite did not want to release a spec based on a specific analog IO’s latency spec along with the cards. This is why Focusrite uses the terminology 'ultra-low roundtrip latency'.

Q: 2. Can you route (via Dante Controller) separately to Headphone and Line Out? As in, are they separate Dante Receivers, or do you send it one signal and both headphone and line out get the same signal?

A: The AM2 has 2 channel I/O which means you can both listen to , and monitor 2 Dante channels. There is no way to split them up between the headphone out and line out.Thank you for your question.

Q: 3. Does this box provide clock as a leader?

A: No, the Allen & Heath DT20 Dante Input Interface with Power Supply does not provide any clock leader functionality.

Q: 4. Does it work in the ATR 3350 Audio technica?

A: I'm afraid not. That clip is designed to hold the mic itself the ADX10 is 10 mm in diameter. The ATR 3350 is 8 mm in diameter. Not a good fit. Try a B&H link toa href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/885752-REG/auray_tc_olm10_tie_clips_for_olm_10.html/pageID/accessory target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/885752-REG/auray_tc_olm10_tie_clips_for_olm_10.html/pageID/accessory/aThis clip will hold the cable as opposed to the entire mic. Should fit fine.

Q: 5. Does the I/O DB25 XLR cables come with the unit?

A: No I/O cables are include with this unit. You would need to purchase the proper I/O cables based on what gear you are connecting to this.

Q: 6. is this for a home studio use?

A: not a home studio, but a distributed network in a church. they sent audio from their main mixing console to other rooms/locations

Q: 7. Does the included power supply for the DT20 have switchable American and UK plugs?

A: Yes, the Allen & Heath DT20-X Dante Input Interface with Power Supply comes with switchable American and UK plugs.

Q: 8. What kind of capsul comes with this mic? Its not shown in the In the Box tab in BH.

A: This version of the Audix SCX1 ships with a Hyper Cardioid capsule. A cardioid and omni directional capsule is also available, making this mix a great modular solution.

Q: 9. Will this work with any mic with a mini-XLR connector, or only with Audix? Thanks.

A: Yes, the Audix MicroBoom 84 Carbon Fiber 84" Boom can be use with any microphone that has a mini-XLR connector. The MicroBoom 84 has a mini-XLR female connector on the top to attach the mic and terminates with a mini-XLR male connector at the bottom. The MicroBoom attaches to any microphone stand and can be used horizontally or vertically.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with the ultranet output of the Midas 32c ?

A: thank you for your question. The ultranet output is only personal monitoring systems such as the Behringer P-16M. To use this interface you would need to get the dante expansion card B&H # KLDN32DANTE.

[<-80 dB (1 kHz)] Sturdy as advertised, low profile, quick and easy to mount, move and take off. Mine came with a heavy plastic mic clip unlike the thinner kind (which can break easy) as pictured. The only problem with these clips is once you have everything in place and wired it is difficult to adjust the height of the mic. It's easiest to un-patch the XLR then readjust the height. Otherwise, a really great mount for your D series mics.

[4] We compared it with several brands and chose the Audix D6 because its capture was the most real and pure.

[50 dB] I was tired of listening to myself singing with the Audio Technica AtT2010 for 2 years, proximity effect was awful on that mic. With the Audix vx5 everything is better, no more proximity effect!!! Voice is warm, clarity is high, I love it. Thanks to B&H also, I got the price match and received the microphone in 3 days, I live in California, what a great company to deal with.
