The Audix M3WDK Tri-Element Ceiling Mic Kit (White)from Audix M3WDK Tri-Element Ceiling Mic Kit (White)is the heart of a microphone system that offers audio performance through Ethernet networks. It can be used to provide microphone functions including on-off contact closure and LED status indicators for meeting rooms, convention centers, educational facilities, and houses of worship through a single Cat 5 - Cat 7 cable with RJ45 connections.

The DN43 interface features one port for the Audix M3 tri-element microphone and one port for Audix RJ45-equipped single-element microphones. The configuration eliminates wiring errors and accelerates installation. In addition, all Audix RJ45-equipped microphone gain structures are optimized for their intended placement, which provides quality audio at the DSP. The result is true plug-and-play installation.

Furthermore, the interface is equipped with two 5V logic outputs per port and source/sink capability for LEDs that are controlled by network-connected DSPs. Low-pass and high-pass filter settings are available for each audio channel as well as eight selectable gain levels with all settings configurable via software.

Q: 1. Does the Audix MB5050 have an off/on switch? The only way I have been able to make it a non open mic is to unplug at input.

A: There is currently no on/off switch available on the Microboom Rod.

Q: 2. Is this system 100% compatible with Da Vinci Resolve 16 on Windows 10 PC and does anyone know if it 100% compatible with Da Vinci 17??

A: Yes it will work on Windows, and yes it will work with DaVinci 17.

Q: 3. When using all the panels together, do you need 4 separate USB plugged in? Or when connected, does one USB handle all the panels?

A: You need to use a USB for each panel. You will need to purchase a USB hub(one with its own power cord). Just plug all the USB plugs into the hub and connect the hub to your computer. BH has those hubs in stock.

A: The Sennheiser In-Ceiling Audio Conferencing Solution Kit with Mic Array, Processor, Amp & SpeakerBH #SEUSTCC2KITK (B&H Kit) will pick-up speech at a distance very nicely. Echo and noise cancellation technlogies are built into the system. Per Sennheiser: "Thanks to the patented dynamic beamforming technology, you will now experience meetings and conferences that are as flexible as you are: A single TeamConnect Ceiling 2 captures your voice easily within a radius of up to 60 sqm - no matter what you do in the room. And once TeamConnect Ceiling 2 is installed, you will never have to worry about further configuration again."

Q: 10. Does the Tangent Element Panels Kit work with Avid 8.X?

A: Unfortunately Avid have not added native support for Tangent panels within any of their products. It is still possible to map keyboard shortcuts to the panel controls however this is obviously far more limited than native support.

[50 dB] We are using these condenser microphones for a 20 member church choir. The product literature was very helpful for us in assembly and future modifation of our sound system. The sound technician and I also liked the on-line tutorials that Audix posted.

[24-Bit] Love this panel set, and am so glad this is the newer version that has the black power-coated metal surface, rather than the rubberized textured surface on the previous version panels. The rubberized textured surface tended to get sticky and flake off over time and constant use. I also invested in the upgraded black tracker-balls & black aluminum rings from Angry Face, which make a huge difference in look & feel during a grading session. Since Resolve doesn't allow for key remapping on third party console panels, I use a Streamdeck XL to add the missing buttons & functions that I can't add to the Element panels. Together, they are a killer combo, and I think rivals a BM Mini Panel in overall functionality. I also use this with Color Finale Pro & FCPx, and appreciate the usefulness this panel provides in those applications as well. Really the best bang for the buck imo.

[50 dB] I'm just a beginner when it comes to editing and developing videos. I didn't expect a control surface to be so easy to work with.

I mainly use DaVinci Resolve, which does not fully support this controller. You should note that not everything is mapped to Tangent's controller. I didn't know that before I bought it, and I was a little disappointed. That changed as soon as I played around with it for a while.

Oh, and you'll need a Powered USB hub to connect everything at once. Check the manual for more info.

Tangent's software lets you add custom mapping and has great video instructions for how to do it. I haven't fully mapped out everything yet, but just using the default settings really increases the fun, and speed, of manipulating videos!

I chose the Element because:
- They've been making controllers for a while, and ones that are compatible with many programs.
- The build quality seemed better than Blackmagic's mini controller.
- It was really easy to find replacement parts, just in case.
- And the reviews were spotless. I know that's not the best reason, but I did notice a few quality issues get mentioned with Blackmagic's controller.

It's been working like a champ! I contacted Tangent to see if they needed any info from me for warranty purposes. They got back to me quickly and explained my receipt would be fine.

If you can't get the whole shebang (kit) I would recommend the TK by itself too. Happy grading!

[2.12 lb] What's that on your organ? That's the question I get when musician and regular folk see the CabGrabber on the Leslie Cabinet of our organ. I guess it looks weird and they probably never seen the cabinet mic'd that way. Heard the pastor commenting about how nice the organ sounded....had to shake my head and smile because I knew it was due to how I mic'd the organ with these 2 days before. Easy to put attached and remove. Make sure to get the same brand Boom CG when ordering.

[4] This is a great addition to an existing Dante system. Installation is easy, just need a 2 hole in the ceiling tile and connect CAT6 cable with RJ45. The unit is smaller than anticipated, but the microphone is super sensitive and picks up the entire board room with clarity. The plug-and-play capability of the Dante system and interface is also nice, as it provides power to up to 4 connected devices. A single ceiling mic and interface connected to our existing network has replaced the need to set up table-top mics and a multi-channel mizer and removed the worry about users accidentally muting their mics during a meeting. With some additional Dante interface devices, users can easily connect over our network to ceiling mics with ease. A point of advice for those new to Dante, be sure you are comfortable with the environment requirements, they might seem overwhelming at first, but they are easy to build out and work with existing network infrastructure.
