As long as the weight of your camera, battery grip, lens, and/or any other accessory connected to the camera (external flash, etc.) weighs less than 13.2 lbs, the setup would be compatible for use on the MeFOTO RoadTrip Air Travel Tripod. If you are using a long/heavy lens that has a tripod collar, connect the tripod collar to the tripod for better center-of-balance with your setup.

Q: 4. The ball head doesn't seem to tighten and stays a little wonky. What's the trick to getting it tight?

[0.035 lb] I bought this to take around with me to film videos at different locations because I wanted something more portable than my regular tripod but also not too flimsy and this definitely fit the bill. It is pretty easy to use & figure out for somebody who doesn't like to read directions. I have had some mild confusion at first when putting it away and trying to figure out how to get it into its most compact position just because it's not like a typical tripod, but just something to get used to. 5

[0.035 lb] I've loved my MeFOTO Tripod and use it for most everything I shoot these days. But when one of the shims in the legs goes out, it's a pain. Thankfully- replacement stops were readily available and I didn't have to replace any parts or buy a new tripod. These were simple to install and I have my tripod again. It's like new! 5

[0.035 lb] This little tripod will pack down to fit easily in a backpack or carry-on duffel without adding much weight. It's got all the features I need, including Arca-type mount. It's easy to extend and collapse with a single turn of the bottom section. Not a heavy-duty rig, though very adequate for small to medium-sized kits. Easy to take everywhere. 5

[0.035 lb] I live in NYC and wanted a very small lightweight tripod to walk around the city with, specifically for night shots and other long exposure shots. I bought this MeFOTO RoadTrip Air Travel Tripod a few weeks ago. It's perfect for this very specific need. It's small and lightweight and easy to quickly open and close. You definitely have to make sure the legs are tight when open all the way, especially the bottom rung. Otherwise, it's pretty sturdy. I'm shooting with a Canon R5 and RF 15-35mm f/2.8 lens. I keep the camera strap around my neck just to be on the safe side. It's not a replacement for my pro tripods, but it absolutely addresses a unique use-case for me. 5
