Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can you change the batteries ?

A: YES...Just unscrew the laser tip, which is how you turn it on and off, and the batteries will be just inside the long part of the site. I think it takes 2 small watch style batteries. I have had mine for several years and used it a lot and as long as you turn it off when your finished with it they should last a long time.

Q: 2. will this work on .223 cal?

A: Yes it will. I have used it on a 223 of my own. The kit includes several adapters for just about any caliber.

Q: 3. How many dB of noise reduction do these offer?

A: 26 dB is the noise reduction level.

Q: 4. what is distance/ range?

A: The range is the same as a normal laser pointer

Q: 5. Which codecs are compatible with this device?

A: Skullcandy does not publish this information.

Q: 6. none of the inserts will fit my 50 cal muzzleloader. how much force is required to seat the laser tube?

A: The inserts should be loose and only tightened when inserted. do not screw the insert all the way down before inserting into the barrel

Q: 7. Where can I find a longer one?

A: Lance G.'s answer looks correct, except a stereo 3.5 mm female to 3.5 mm male cable also works well and may be easier to find. Have used one for years.

Q: 8. How long is the cord to the headphone?

A: There are no cords on these headphones. They are for hearing protection, not audio.

Q: 9. Can I charge them if the charging pouch is lost?

A: There are no independent USB ports on the earbuds for the Cleer Arc True Wireless Open-Ear Earbuds (Midnight Blue), so the charging pouch would be needed to be able to charge the earbuds.

Q: 10. How many db does each acoustic filter reduce? (Plus / regular models)

A: The Sennheiser SoundProtex Hearing Protection Earplugs come with two filters while the Sennheiser SoundProtex Plus Hearing Protection Earplugs come with three filters. Both include a full-block filter for total isolation. The standard SoundProtex comes with the medium filter while the SoundProtex Plus also includes the strong and low filters. The strong filter has an estimated single number rating (SNR) of 20 dB for loud music, motorsports, or power tool use. The medium filter has an estimated SNR of approximately 17 dB for festivals, events, or travelling. The low filter has an SNR of approximately 10 dB for acoustic music, noisy offices, bars, and restaurants. The total block filter provides silence.

[0.815 lb] purchased for someone with serious hearing loss, she reports it works well with her hearing aid, much better than standard headphones with a hearing assist receiver in church.

[25 dB] Being seriously deaf, I use high-powered hearing aids with the T-switch (telephone), and while I can hear okay in distances of a few feet, public gatherings such as church are impossible for me. Many venues, such as my church provide assistive listening devices, but I have a phobia about putting an earpiece used by I-don't-know-who in my ear, and not knowing if it has been cleaned after the last use, although many times it is obvious it has not been. About 15 years ago I learned about the Williams Sound Induction Neckloop and have used it ever since. I usually get several years of use from one, although this last one seems to be better made and uses a slightly heavier wire. I also use it in smaller group sessions with my personal voice receiver to good effect as well. I highly reccommend it to anyone who wears a hearing aid(s) with the T-switch. It is money well spent.

[0.815 lb] With my hearing aids which has a telecoil, I can use this neck loop for television, Kindle, Laptop and my assistive listening device. Because I wear hearing aids, Ear bugs don't work for me. Most headphones don't work for me either. With the neck loop and turning on my telecoil on my hearing aids... I can listen to anything I like. I can't think of anything that isn't so great about it...

[Up to 75 Hours] Omg. I'm so so so happy with my new device. I'm hard of hearing and been talking on the phone less lately becauseof the feedback from the hearing aid. This is a must for people who wears a hearing aid and talks on the phone

[Up to 75 Hours] There are so many gadgets out there, and they don't all do what they say they will. This really does! My grandmother, newly 100 years old, has been listening to books-on-tape/audio books with a headset for years. That is difficult with her hearing aids! Her audiologist told us about this Williams Sound Induction Neckloop and we ordered it that afternoon. She has been delighted. Your audiologist will have to set your hearing aids to stream it, and you do have to get used to turning it on and off on your aids (very simple). You can either hear the book through the neckloop, or you can hear the conversation around you, but not both at the same time. You can easily go back and forth with just a little touch of the button on your hearing aid. I urge you to talk to your specialist and see if she thinks it's worth a try. It certainly was for us. A fine product, Williams! Hearing is beautiful.

[0.815 lb] I had a member of the congregation that was having difficulty using the headphones on our assisted listening system. She did have and know how to use a T-coil application. Nothing but grins from her now.
