Leverages 30 years of lineage to create the latest in the OC9 series cartridge; the Audio-Technica Consumer AT-OC9XSL is a dual moving coil stereo cartridge with a Special Line Contact stylus that is highly prized by vinyl enthusiasts and professional critics for its musical transparency, expression of sound, and precision construction.

The dual moving coil cartridge features a Special Line Contact stylus, which is designed to provide outstanding channel separation, while the Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting (PCOCC) coils ensure pure audio transmission and are aligned in a reverse V-shaped formation to exert less pressure on the stylus, thereby minimizing distortion. Other enhancements include a rigid aluminum body that reduces resonance, a neodymium magnet, and premium permendur yoke that dramatically increases the magnetic energy, ensuring rich, full-range audio with a high transient response. The AT-OC9XSL comes pre-threaded, enabling it to be mounted to a headshell or integral tonearm with just two screws (no nuts required). Also included are a non-magnetic screwdriver, mounting hardware (screws and washers), a plastic protector, and a brush.

Q: 1. hi i am interested of denon DL A110 moving coil cartridge . My tonearm (vpi prime ) don't have the sme connection, so can I mount the the above denon cartridge to my tonearm?

A: The cartridge can be attached without the included SME headshell, but you would be paying for a headshell you can not use. I would recommend the Denon DL-301 MKII Phono Cartridge - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/744635-REG/Denon_DL_301MK2_Denon_DL_301MKII_High_Output.html/specs This is a higher quality cartridge than what is included with the DL-A110, without the headshell.

Q: 3. does it permit the use of a 3.5 input socket to a Camcorder or DSLR camera ?

A: You may be able to use this mic with a camcorder or DSLR (providing that the impedance is within range -- check your camera manual for mic input impedance specs). However, due to its transformerless design, this mic may introduce noise or hum into the recorded audio.

Q: 4. Will this cartridge replace my P135S Cartridge for my Technics SL-D20 Turntable? If so, should I purchase the Conical of Elliptical Cartridge?

A: Yes, the Audio-Technica Consumer AT81CP Conical Phonograph Cartridge for P-Mount Turntables can be used as a replacement cartridge and stylus for the Technics SL-D20 Turntable. This conical version as well as the AT85EP Elliptical stylus can both be used. Elliptical will pick up more detail and less distortion due to being able to make contact with a larger groove area on a record's surface, however it also stands to wear down more quickly than a conical stylus.

Q: 5. Hi, is this premounted on the shell?

A: Yes. The Denon DL-A110 110-Year Anniversary Edition Moving Coil Phono Cartridge (BH # DEDLA110GS) is packaged pre-mounted to the included headshell.

Q: 6. Will this cart work in a Realistic Lab 1600 Turntable? Thanks, G

A: Based on internet research, the Realistic Lab 1600 turntable has a P mount cartridge connection. This Audio Technica cartridge should be compatible the with turntable.

Q: 7. will this replace a M12 e/u cartridge on a SLB300 turntable?

A: This cartridge will work fine with your vintage TT.

Q: 8. Will this cartridge replace my Technics SL-L2 turntable cartridge?

A: The pmount carts are supposed to work with this and other pmount arms. I bought this as it was a successor cart to the AT cart on my table. Also theyre supposed to be the same weight so you dont have to worry about tracking force etc. No new screw came with mine. But you unscrew the one on the old cart unplug that one, plug in the new one, put in the screw and youre done. Working well.

Q: 9. Will this cartridge work for my Technics SL-Q350 turntable?

A: Yes. This will fit any turntable with a P-Mount stylus.

Q: 10. Can any of the AT-VMN95 series needles fit on this cartridge?

A: Yes, these needles will be compatible with the XP5 cartridge.

[28 dB (1 kHz)] I bought this to replace the original cartridge for a Music Hall mmf 2.2 turntable. As noted in the description, the cartridge is threaded, and the tiny bolts don't need any nuts to secure them. This simplifies the installation. The simplicity of the Music Hall turntable also makes alignment and tracking force easy to set up. I could have shopped for a more expensive cartridge, but didn't want to spend more than the initial cost of the turntable. I'm very pleased with the tracking and sound quality of this cartridge. I'm running the turntable with a very nice old Marantz 2770 receiver.

[12 Ohms] I needed a cartridge for an old Pioneer TT, and this one came up as recommended. I'm no expert, but it certainly sounds better than what it replaced, and at a nice price point.

[28 dB (1 kHz)] Back in the day when Audio Technica released the AT-95 it was widely praised as a lively, dynamic alternative to the usual Shure M75EJ. Today the AT-VM95E is even more detailed and dynamic than before. Tight bass, clear open midrange and crisp treble offer a solid, rhythmic presentation of recorded music on vinyl. Its main rival today is probably Ortofon's OM 5E, offering similar performance at a higher price. The AT is audibly punchier and more foot-tapping than the Ortofon. If you have a bigger budget consider stepping up to the $150-$20 price range for a significant overall improvement.

[20 Hz to 50 kHz] The AT-VM95E replaced an old Stanton 681EEE in my vintage Technics SL-D2 turntable. Installation was made simple as the screws that hold the cartridge in place go right into the cartridge shell without having to fiddle with small nuts. I set the tracking force to 2 grams and it is tracking with no issues. The sound exceeded my expectations, no distortion that I can hear and instruments sound more defined than with my previous cartridge. For the price it is a very good sounding cartridge.
