A: No, you recharge it by plugging into USB on your computer. It does come with the USB cable you will need.

Q: 5. does this sense and supply the necessary voltage for device or feed 5V regardless?

A: I am pretty sure it supplies 5v on both usb plugs. The differance is in the Amperage it supplies in each plug, one is 1A for iPhone, the other is 2.4A, for iPad. i charge my phone on either, differance is a fast or slower charge. I highly recommend the product, it will charge a iPad a couple of times, a phone probably more than a dozen times. . It does however take a long time to recharge itself, even with a iPad type charger, like overnight.

Q: 6. will this unit record audio conversations as well as the video?

A: Only video is recorded.

Q: 7. Can you send a program/aux feed from an audio board to the xlr inputs of the Telex MS-4002?

A: Yes. You can connect any line-level audio source to the XLR inputs on the Telex MS-4002 4-Channel Main Station for monitoring in the speaker or headset, or for routing to the intercom channel. The program audio to the channel can be set to interrupt while the MS-4002 operator is talking on the channel.

[5 VAC, 1.5 A] Bought this unit specifically because it will run without internet. I don't want to use the app and don't care about streaming to wherever I'm at. I'd prefer to avoid the risk of espionage, corporate or otherwise. From what I can tell so far, it will not work on its own though - WiFi still needs to be provided (e.g., an old router without the internet, et cetera...) Seems to have decent night vision. Haven't got it mounted yet; also haven't tested with external power or recording capabilities. 5

[5 VAC, 1.5 A] We use this for a driveway alarm. We ordered the Optex Wireless 2000 Annunciator System and the first one, did not work out of the box, which was unfortunate. But the exchange process with B&H was extremely easy and conducted with the utmost professionalism. The 2nd system arrived and worked just fine. We replaced an older drive way alarm, that was obnoxious with respect to the alarm sound. We like the tone of this one and there are multiple sound levels, which is nice. We can increase the volume, if we are downstairs and turn it back down when upstairs. 5

[5 VAC, 1.5 A] Easy to install. We do not have a door bell at the driveway door that everyone likes to use. The Optex lets us know when someone is starting up a rather long drive, now we know before they get to the door. Really like it. 5
