[4.2 lb] I use this product to view my hundreds if not thousands of negative strips plus thoudands of slides. Good bright but cool light. I went for a box with two bulbs so the whole surface wass illuminated and it does the trick. I didnt need to travel with the box so its chunky size was not a problem. I wanted something of high quality for a decent price and think I've got it. 5
