Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do the NiSi closeup filters work with MFT's cameras. I see their website discusses full frame and APS-C, but no mention of MFT's?

A: These close up filters can work with a Micro 4/3 series camera and a lens which accepts the thread sizes that the lens offers.

Q: 2. For best results, should I remove the UV filter from my lens before attaching the NiSi Close-Up Lens?

A: Yes; while it is not required if your UF filter has front filter threads, if you wish to obtain optimum results, I would recommend removing your UV filter before connecting the NiSi 58mm Close-Up NC Lens to your lens.

Q: 3. Will this work with a step-down ring on lenses that use filter threads larger than 58 mm?

A: This will work on 49 and 52 mm step up rings only

Q: 4. Would this work on a 46mm lens if I purchased the appropriate step-up ring?

A: This can be used on a lens with a 46mm front thread. You would need a 46-58mm Step-Up Ring such as the Sensei linked here. https://bhpho.to/36DlGvd. This is usable with 35 to 250mm Focal Lengths,

Q: 5. Can two or more of these be stacked together?

A: According to the manufacturer, the the NiSi 58mm Close-Up NC Lens Kit with 49 and 52mm Step-Up Rings does have 58mm front filter threads. They have not tested stacking two (2) close-up filters together. While I do not personally recommend this, it would be possible if you have a close-up filter with 58mm rear filter threads.

Q: 6. Will my Tamron 70-200 G2 lens hood still attach with this adapter in place? Thanks!

A: Your lens hood would fit on the bayonet mount found on the end of the lens barrel, so you can still use this adapter ring.

Q: 7. Will this work with the LUMIX 35-100 micro 4/3 mirrorless lens? The 35mm equivalent of that lens is 70-200.

A: Yes. The following will work with no step up or down rings needed.

Q: 8. Can I use a Tiffen 82mm polarizer with this step up ring then magnetically attach to the 77mm magnetic lens ring adapter?

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-up ring has no front filter threads and will not attach to your non-magnetic Tiffen polarizer.

Q: 9. Will this work on a lumix fz300

A: The NiSi 58mm Close-Up NC Lens Kit with 49 and 52mm Step-Up Rings will work on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 camera. For the best results keep the zoom between 35 and 250mm.

Q: 10. Does this work with the Kase Revolution lenses or is there a special step up ring for Revolution?

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (67 to 82mm) will allow you to use the Kase 82mm KW Revolution Magnetic ND1000 Filter (10-Stop) on a lens with 67mm filter threads.

[0.05 lb] Does what it says it does. I recently got into film photography and have a bunch of colored 58mm filters. The lenses I have have smaller filter rings, so I got this.

[0.05 lb] I bought this better quality ring because I wanted to use it to mount a heavy teleconverter. Earlier I bought a cheap one for a lighter use. It works but is not as well made and does not have the smooth feel of the B+W.

[7 x 6 x 1"] Even though $20.00 sounds like a steep price, I bought a 9+ used Sensei to use until this one arrived backordered. The difference is HIGHLY recomended if you don't want to unscrew your Protection Lens etc.. The difference between the two is simply unexplainable. Well worth the expense for serious trial and error photography. I used this for my B+W Rubber Hood, to alleviate Vignetting on my Nikon D3500 55mm Kit Lens. Perfect.

[0.05 lb] I use this ring to attach a Fisheye lens to my Sony Camera. Its really strong, the fisheye lens is not the lightest thing around and its holding on very well. Really good product
