Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have both 55 mm and 67 mm lenses. I would like to be able to use 67 mm filter on 55 mm lens?

A: The Freewell 55mm Step-Up Adapter Ring for V2 Magnetic Filters allows you to put filters larger then 55mm on a 55mm lens.

Q: 2. can i use 72mm filters?

A: The Freewell 58mm Step-Up Adapter Ring for V2 Magnetic Filters is designed to mount the Freewell Magnetic Filter System to a 58mm lens front thread. The adapter ring does not have front threads, and it has a front diameter of 85mm.

Q: 3. Is it necessary to buy this magnetic ring or can you just use a standard threaded step up ring and then thread a normal 82mm Kase magnetic ring to that?

A: It is recommended to use as few adapters as possible in order to keep the filter closer to the lens to avoid vignetting. While an aluminum step up ring and then an 82mm magnetic adapter will fit, it is not recommended.

Q: 4. Does this ring work with the older 150mm NiSi filter holder for the Tamron 15-30mm lens (BH product #NIFH150TAM)?

A: Yes it is compatible.

Q: 5. Most of my lenses are 77mm.have one wide angle lense w 82 mm thread. 82 mm kase filter w this adapter ?

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (77 to 82mm) listed above allow you to use lenses that have 77mm front filter threads on a filter that has 82mm rear filter threads. If you have Kase Magnetic 82mm filters, you would not need an adapter ring as the filter should connect directly to the front of your 82mm lens. The link below is the link to the Kase 82mm filters that are compatible for use with this step-up ring, and which should also be compatible for use with your wide-angle lens with 82mm front filter threads: https://bhpho.to/3L411oo

Q: 6. Is this only a step up ring or one can use 95mm Kase ND filter and snap it in directly to this step up?

A: To use the Kase 95mm magnetic filters on a lens that uses 72mm filters, the only step up ring adapter is the Kase 72-95mm Magnetic Step-Up Adapter Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters BH #KAKWMSP7295 • MFR #KW-MSP-7295

Q: 7. Can I use a Tiffen 82mm polarizer with this step up ring then magnetically attach to the 77mm magnetic lens ring adapter?

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-up ring has no front filter threads and will not attach to your non-magnetic Tiffen polarizer.

Q: 8. Does this work with the Kase Revolution lenses or is there a special step up ring for Revolution?

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (67 to 82mm) will allow you to use the Kase 82mm KW Revolution Magnetic ND1000 Filter (10-Stop) on a lens with 67mm filter threads.

Q: 9. Are the KW Revolution 112 mm filters in the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 Revolution Kit compatible with this 95 to 112 step up ring?

A: The Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (95 to 112mm) is compatible with the KW Revolution 112 mm filters.

Q: 10. Will my Tamron 70-200 G2 lens hood still attach with this adapter in place? Thanks!

A: Your lens hood would fit on the bayonet mount found on the end of the lens barrel, so you can still use this adapter ring.

[Side, Top] I hope I never have to buy filters larger than 67mm. The step-up ring works great, I can adapt all my lenses to use the same set of filters. Takes a bit of room in the camera bag, but no biggie.

[Side, Top] I purchased this step-up ring to use a 67 mm Leica UV/IR filter with a Konica M-Hexanon 50/1.2 (62 mm). The ring is very solid and does what's intended to do. Minimal height. Can't complain about anything.

[62 mm to 67 mm] You will buy a quality step-up ring once you have a generic brand stuck on your lens. The threading on this B+W is perfectly machined and the metal is also light. Buy right and buy once!

[62 mm to 67 mm] I am a big fan of B+W step-up ring. Built quality is not far behind Heliopan but price is less than half of Heliopan. Always my first choice of step-up ring.
