[GY9.5] We use this primarily for interview videos and educational videos. Works wonders in any environment.

[56.5 lb] I have been using this kit for a few weeks and a few shoots. However in this limited time, I've understuud its just an amazing kit for someone starting out in video. It has everything you need, three lights is a lot. I left one in storage as a spare, and use a reflector instead of fill light. Works amazing. What this light kit does is provide light that looks extremely good. @This is the first time we ever used lights in video. So its very easy to use. And the little book that comes with it is also nice for reference. The case is very good. Everything fits inside just fine and its just small enough to even fit in the back of a WV Golf GTI.... the kit comes with american plugs so you need adapters to work with it in Europe.

[GY9.5] I love the construction and output of this pro light kit. The softbox was a bit tricky to figure out, but I found a YouTube video that helped. The wheeled carry case is well constructed.

[56.5 lb] I have used Arri lights for the past few years for video work and have been nothing but impressed. They are powerful, durable and the kits give you a wide range of capabilities to use for a multitude of different scenarios. As far as I am concerned, they are the best portable production lights on the market. Obviously they do run a little more expensive, but the quality shows. The kit actually came with the wrong item number, but B&H Customer Support was quick to help me with the return and exchange the proper one.

[56.5 lb] We use these lights for product shots and for interviews, shooting in HD video. Arri makes a very rugged instrument. It is just a great lighting system. Can't think of anything negative.

[56.5 lb] Excellent three point tungsten kit. The Arri lights have a great quality to them that is better than any other small kit i've used. Comes with a lot great accessories. There is also some room to put gels and diffusion. You may be able to store some extra bulbs too. The only negatives are the kit is difficult to put back together. Take a picture before you start pulling it apart for the first time. And the soft box is difficult to get on, you really have to force it. However, with that kind of chimera it is to be expected. Also, the 650 especially can run pretty hot, but again this is a tungsten kit and that should be expected. You can't really beat the value. I couldn't be any happier with them.

[GY9.5] Bought the D1 Kit for filming commercials on-the-go. I don't worry about tripping any breakers on location with this kit, yet it provides plenty of output for indoor shoots. As other reviews mention, these lights will get pretty hot. The heat didn't bother me after picking up a good pair of Hot Hands production gloves. The hard case is a must, just wish it had a little more storage space. When packed correctly, I am able to fit an additional 25ft power cord, (1) 3-way Power Tap, (1) roll 2 Gaffers tape and Rosco Cinegels. You will definately need to pick up a few 15-20lbs. Sand Bag would recommend bright colored bags because the black tripods are a trip hazard in a dimly lit room. Lowell VS. Arri: Go with Arri. I've worked with Lowells and found their umbrella kits to be a bit obtrusive and have actually had a light housing start to smoke when the bard doors were closed off a little. Some claim that the Arri's get hotter and take longer to cool down, however I don't see these solid housing of the Arri's catching on fire.

[56.5 lb] These lights are fantastic, but let me start out with the only downside I've encountered so far: the weight. I bought this kit to use predominantly as a travel kit. I haven't traveled with it yet, but the case seems very durable, the padding inside is very good (although I intend to keep using two pieces of foam that appear to have been included only for shipping) and creates a snug fit, and the lights themselves seem very tough, although I haven't seen how they hold up in the long term (I imagine they'll hold up well though). All of this toughness adds up to roughly 55 to 60lbs, meaning when I travel with them that I'll have to either ship them ahead of time or pay heavy bag overage fees to take the kit through the airport. Southwest, for example, charges $ one way for a bag weighing more than 50lbs, and Delta charges $ for your first bag plus a $ fee one way for bags weighing more than 50lbs. Since these are the airlines I use, that means I'll have to pay $ or $ for each roundtrip I take them on unless I leave some things at home or pack some items separately. Other than that, the lights are great, although I had to reach in and finagle the wires to make the holes line up with the light bulb connection points. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of so you don't stand there scratching your head for a few too many minutes wondering if the bulb is actually in how it's supposed to be. The lights really are great though, as are the extras such as the soft box. Very powerful and versatile kit.
