A: Yes Custom Brackets Digital Pro-E CMP Bracket is compatible with the Canon R3.

Q: 2. Can this bracket be attached to a tripod?

A: Yes. As the Desmond Custom L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 & R6 has Arca-type compatible dovetail mounts on both the bottom and upright risers, and as Really Right Stuff ball heads use quick release clamps that are Arca-compatible, the Desmond Custom L-Bracket may be used with Really Right Stuff ball heads.

Q: 9. does this bracket allow for at least does this bracket allow for at least 40 degrees tilt of the viewing screen?

[Steel] Well built and quality product! Should be very easy to travel with on trips. I did however need to extend the height by 5 to get me to a distance of 16 from the c/l of the lens to the to of the flash. Good thing I work in a machine shop!

[Steel] I am using this with a Nikon D300 with MB-D10 grip and a Nikon SB-910 flash. I mount the flash bracket on the right side so that I can flip it so the flash is above the camera in a normal portrait orientation (right side of camera and shutter release on top). This works very well and is extremely intuitive -- within a few minutes you will naturally flip the bracket and rotate the camera in one swift motion. The bracket does have some movement to it, but it's extremely sturdy and has proven to be durable. I think the construction and quality of materials is very solid and professional -- I have confidence it will last a long time. This is the tall (T) model that elevates the flash above a pro or gripped body and it does that very well. It's still easy to bounce the flash and works well for large open areas where the ceiling is higher or non-existent (in which case you'd bounce off a wall or diffuse and go direct). I also use a Gary Fong Lightsphere and it works well together. Of course in a smaller space you could probably do without the bracket. The folding option is fantastic and allows it to tuck nicely into my camera bag. I have a RRS L-Plate installed on my MB-D10 and the CB bracket with anti-twist plate mount perfectly to the bottom of the RRS L-Plate. I have no problems holding the camera just as I would normally for portrait or landscape shots -- basically just ignore the bracket and hold the camera like you normally would. The foam grip is basically padding for the back of your right hand as you hold the camera. It's a very effective bracket. All-in-all money well spent with no regrets.

[Black] I purchased this bracket after reading all of the reviews. This is my first flash bracket. I love the way it folds. Took me a little while to get it just right to hold flash firmly. Used with Canon 7D with battery pack and 580EX flash.
