The signature blue with black string CS-DV4 Camcorder Case from PortaBrace is designed to protect and organize the camera and the essential spare battery, tapes, and microphones. It fits popular cameras such as the Sony PMW-EX1, HVR-V1U, HVR-Z1U, and HDR-FX1, Canon XH-A1 and XH-G1, and the Panasonic HVX-200. The cradle inside is adjustable and stays put to keep the camera from shifting. The case is made from 1000D Cordura nylon with a generous coating of polyurethane waterproofing, plus 1" thick foam padding. The bottom panel is reinforced with 8mm hollow-core plastic, foam layers, and a layer of slip-not fabric that adds an extra layer of protection against water, dirt, and grime with an easy wipe-off surface.

The CS-DV4 has a large exterior pocket for cables and an optional rain cover, a wide slip pocket for a white balance card, owner's manual, maps airline tickets, etc., and one small padded soft pouch. The case is carried by the removable, adjustable suede shoulder strap or the dual suede carrying handles.

A: I am not sure that your camera will fit, but it seems similar to my Panasonic. The case is a good value and very versatile.

A: You can actually fit (quite snugly) a 15 Macbook Pro laptop in the side pocket, it just takes a bit of finesse. I regularly travel with a 13 Macbook Pro and a Panasonic AC-160 camera around the US. It won't fit under your seat because it is too long. You have to cram it in the overhead bin if your in a smaller domestic plane, but I've never had to check my bag.There are also two rigid foam slats that hold the bag upright. In a pinch I was able to take these out and fit 2 AC-160s back to back in the main compartment. But I couldn't fit a laptop in them at the same time. But to answer your question, I am right now able to test with my work 15 Macbook Pro and it will fit in the side. I used to use a generic bag that would actually fit under my seat, but it wasn't protecting my camera as much. I like this new bag and it is very sturdy, and it doesn't hurt my shoulder when carrying long distances like my old bag did.Best,Lane Wyrick

[Zipper] I recently purchased this black CS-DV4 case after being very pleased with the blue CS-DV4 case I've owned for the past 20 months.� Now I have identical bags (but in different colors) for my Sony HXR-NX3 and Sony HXR-NX100 camcorders.� The workmanship on these bags is excellent (no loose threads anywhere, quality zippers) with thick padded protection along the sides, top, and bottom.� While this case is definitely larger than my camera sizes that extra space in the main compartment is put to use for on-camera lights, shotgun mics with windscreens, extra batteries, and more (one time including a GoPro camera with mounts as well).� I've filled in some main compartment side gaps with Porta Brace's zippered padded pillow pouches for other small items.� I especially like the large padded suede shoulder pad on the carry strap--unlike other camera bags this comfortable oversized suede pad conforms perfectly to my shoulders and doesn't slip off.�� There's only one small negative aspect I've experienced with these cases--they aren't "rapid open and remove."� You really do need to use both hands to fully open the bag, with one hand to widen the top zippered edges while using your other hand to remove the camera especially if you leave lights and mics attached.� But I'm now OK with that given how much stuff I pack inside, the wonderful suede shoulder pad, and the protection this case provides. 5

[Zipper] I wanted something to travel abroad with that wasn't huge but would fit all the gear I don't dare to check, i.e. camera body, a few lenses, microphones, recorder, ..., would fit on board a plane but would also protect my stuff if I got forced to gate check the bag. This bag does the job. It doesn't attract much attention because it's just a dull-looking, black bag, but it has a lot of protection, and it fits a lot of gear. 5
