The description of the field of view says Wide 68 Apparent Angle of View. This is a typo. 6.8 degrees is still an exaggeration but certainly not 68 degrees. I have a set of Jason Binoculars that are extra wide angle which has an apparent angle of view of 11 degrees and puts the performance at 578 feet 1000 yards. The Celestron are not wide angle at all at only 267' which works out to 5 degree angle of view.
