The Ashly 24.24M Output Expansion Modulefrom Ashly 24.24M Output Expansion Moduleis a four-output expansion module for the Protea 24.24M Matrix Processor base unit. Each card provides an additional four channels of output and brings with it dedicated DSP and digital-to-analog converters.

The card is field installable and require no additional programming from the base unit. Up to five output cards can be installed for a total of twenty-four outputs. Because of the on-board DSP, the base unit's processing is not impacted by the addition of the cards.

Q: 1. Does ashly have a wireless accessibility?

A: The Ashly Protea 4.8SP does not have a transmitter or receiver built into it for wireless compatibility.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the DS1821+?

A: Yes it is and it supports creating volumes across different units.

Q: 3. Will a new Mac mini run, or does anyone have any experience getting 4 monitors? 1920X1080 to work?

A: I've used this product to run 2 monitors off of a single thunderbolt output. If you have 2 outputs on a device (such as the newer MacBooks), I bet you could use 2 to power 2 displays each. I have not tried this. Hopefully that is useful.

Q: 5. What kind of cable does this have to plug into the meet up camera, usb-c?

A: Its a proprietary connection.

Q: 6. What speed does the eSATA port support? Can it do 600MB/sec (6Gbps)?

A: Yes, the eSATA is 6Gbps. This Synology DX517 5-Bay Expansion Enclosure is not a stand alone RAID. The eSATA port is not for direct connecting to a computer.

Q: 7. must the host DS218+ have drive for expansion to work ? I have 2 drives on DS218+, can I remove them and pull the in expansion unit with 2 new drive, Will the expansion unit work when host have no drive ?

A: You could do it but that will erase everything on the disks you currently have. You would want to make backups before trying anything like that.

Q: 8. any video tutorial for this unit (other then thai ) ?

A: The Ashly AW 8.2T+ Passive 8" 2-Way Installation Speaker with Transformer is not weatherized or waterproof.

Q: 10. The in-body audio has been described as poor. How has the addition of the XLR inputs affected the audio quality overall?

A: We expect the DJI Ronin 4D Expansion Plate will greatly improve the Ronin-4D's audio support and quality when it arrives. As of today the DJI Ronin 4D Expansion Plate has not arrived in stock for testing at B&H.

[Euroblock] Nothing in it's price class comes even close. This unit is rock solid, easy to use, and offers great flexibility. It can be used as a delay, crossover, eq, limiters, and many other audio needs. With 4 ins and 8 outs, the setup can be almost endless. You can use outputs 1 & 2 as Master LR, outputs 3 -6 for delay lines, and 7 & 8 as a biamped monitor send. I would definitely spec and install this unit on any of my installations. 5

[Euroblock] i use this mixer for several years, live sound and recording. the preamps are clear, full and detailed. by far the best preamps for the dollar i have ever heart. 5

[48kHz] I use this product in our committee rooms, legislative house, and senate chambers. It is very easy to add and network together for the perfect control. It would be nice to have a web connect feature for internet remote access control (hint, hint). 5

[18kΩ] Adding this card to Ashly Digimix24 will release the full power of the mixer, allowing you to use all input/output channels in your PC/DAW/iPad. It works flawlessly, and my only minor complaint might be that the latency is not as low as e.g. my RME UCX, but still in the very close to it and in the unnoticeable side of things (about 5-6mS full duplex). This also has to do with the sample rate used (48KHz), while UCX can go up to 192KHz, which reduces latency further. All things considered, I suggest Ashly USB-32 without a second thought! Service of B&H was also awesome, arriving to the other end of the world (New Zealand) in very short time and without issues! 5

[+20dBu] Operate a home office and after a recent laptop change where I no longer had an option to use a docking station, I needed something to drive three (3) Dell Flat Panel Monitors. After researching, I came accross this device from Matrox. Easy to install with software that made the config simple. Would highly recomend this product. It works great! 5

[48kHz] I use these to feed widescreen graphics at 3840x1080 or 5760x1080 for blended widescreen application in live events. I also feed two 1920x1200 monitors with one, and it works well. They work equally well on MACs with the included mini-DP adapter and on my PC laptops with DP 5
